arsenal fans right now , but I do kinda feel sorry for arsenal the only other team in epl I respect since they are one of the few teams that don't buy their way to success
Actually the first emotion that hit when I heard the news was one of relief.
Relief that the saga is over, that we haven't had a repeat of the Fabregas/Nasri fiasco last summer.
Relief that we've actually got a decent fee for him and not massively undersold like several players who've left in the past.
What makes it worse is that Wenger has told French TV tonight that he will not be replacing RVP as we have already signed Podolski and Giroud

Just hoping he uses the money to strengthen elsewhere if he isn't going to strengthen the attack anymore.
Arsenal definitely don't need another forward. They have Podolski, Giroud, Arshavin, Walcott, Gervinho, Bendtner, Park and that isn't even mentioning the ones out on loan. A defensive midfielder should be far higher on the list of priorties.
Summer 2011 Nasri to City
Summer 2012 RVP to Utd
Summer 2013 Who gets Wilshire......
Dr. Steadman?
Overall I think this is probably a good deal for all concerned:
-RvP gets his move to a more competitive club, at this stage of his career he needs to be getting some medals
-Arsenal get a good fee for a 29 year old injury-prone player with only 1 year left and has stated he won't sign a new deal. Additionally getting it settled before the start of the season removes an unnecessary distraction like we had last season
-Man Utd get the player of the year and top scorer for under £25m, they wouldn't be able to get much better in that price bracket
