In theory the backup should be better this season following the arrivals of Podolski and Giroud, plus Arshavin coming back from loan.

So essentially up front it will be 3 from 5:

Podolski
Giroud
Walcott
Gervinho
Arshavin

This should give them enough to cover injuries with Chamakh and Bendtner on domestic cup duty and occassional appearences on the bench. Whether or not people consider this 'good enough' for Champions League qualification is open to debate, but I'd suggest it compares favourably with Spurs and arguably more depth than Chelsea as well. In other words an injury to Defoe or Torres would have more impact than an injury to any Arsenal forward.

Bendtner is definitely going - he's been very public about his desire to get out of the club - so if he doesn't want to play there's no point keeping him. Might be fun getting a club to buy him though lol.

One thing I didn't realise is that if Song is sold then there won't be any players left at the club who have Darren Dein talking in their ear - a good thing by all accounts.

And he always denied getting banned from BB.com for being racist as well.

Racism aside he was good poster.

We need more fans of varying clubs rather than people adding to the top club mob. Nothing wrong with the top club lot but it does get a little tedious reading 20 pages about ManU every week :p

On topic good signing for ManU but personally I think Tevez/Aguerro will be more effective

RVP is a good signing for United, but I am still not convinced by their defence/midfield - not by a long shot.

Hopefully Liverpool can tie up the deal for Sahin today, and Tello soon after, team is looking pretty dang strong.

You're not convinced by Man Utd's defence (lol) and midfield but Liverpool will be pretty dang strong if they get Sahin and Tello?

Oh dear

RvP move not motivated by money. On a far better deal at Arsenal than people knew & could have earned more elsewhere than he'll get at mufc

Sounds good.

Sky Sports News have just shown RvP in London getting into his Merc, he's on his way to Manchester!

Awwwwwwww kdd :(

manyoo's defence is only weak at full back. You're right about their midfield unless Kagawa is a monster that hits the ground running but to say add two players to Liverpool's squad and the team looks, and I quote, 'pretty dang strong' is laughable. Liverpool will be scrapping for a Europa spot again this season.

Tello isn't happening, I've read he wants to stay at Barca until at least January.
