Not really happy with that :( but his head has been turned by Barca so impossible to keep him.

I know DM loathes him as a player but i thought he played pretty well for us the past few seasons.

Wenger definitely needs to sign someone to replace him.

I think DM has a blind hatred for a lot of players including the manager and tends to concentrate more on their faults than positive points.

Song did make some mistakes but overal I thought he was very solid. He is still only 24 and I think he will get better with age.

I can see him thinking of Frimpong as his replacement, hopefully not as I think it will be a few years before he is ready if ever.

Wenger looked pretty desperate even for the first game of the season. I think he is going to sign one or two people as he can see we are not ready.

Can also see Walcott slipping out the door on the cheap as we try and muddle our way through these tough times.

Mirallas signs on a 4 year deal in a transfer which is believed to be be £5.3m.

Expect additional movement from now 'till the last day.

There were apparently reports in Spain that United asked about him on Friday (possibly on loan). More Twitter 'rumours' today that it's supposedly a done deal.

I'll believe it when I see it. He's not what is needed imo.

Yeah, I've had a look on Twitter as well and it seems to be fairly unsubstantiated at this point in time.

Sir Alex does rate him though, he tried to sign him from AC Milan when he was there. Kagawa plays a similar role so it would be a very odd signing unless we're moving away from wingers... (hah, never going to happen :p).

Not that I'd complain, of course, especially on loan.

Kaka of 5 years ago might have struggled with the premierships pace week in week out. This shell of a player would be laughable except on loan for 40k per week. Might as well sign scholes for 4 years instead ;)

good news, will be interesting to see where moyes plays him and what formation

It points toward a 4-5-1 with him cutting in from the right flank.

Naismith behind Jelavic with Pienaar on the right.

I think people talk about it as a 4-2-3-1 - but it's really 4-5-1 either way you look at it.

Sky Bet have picked up on the Kaka rumour now, we're 8/11 to sign him. :p

It does sound like it's just a Twitter rumour though, nothing else.

Arsenal close to completing Sahin deal. Season-long loan with view to permanent. Confirmation likely early next week.

--

David Ornstein is usually spot on, so it looks like the Sahin deal will happen.

Sahin + Cazorla, and with Wilshire returning at some point will equal the best midfield in the league, and there is still a chance they could get M'Villa in as a DM.
