From what i have seen of Kaka last season i would be a little mystified as to why anyone would even offer to pay 150k in wages. He looked very light weight and made many headless chicken runs. Shooting was pretty atrocious to add another nail in the coffin of what was one of the best attacking midfielders of the last decade.

He is a good player, but needs consistant games.

Think its harsh to blame the QPR loss on just him, as some are keen to do (he might be at fault for one goal, but I dont think its fair to label anywhere near the other 4 on him). He also attempted a really good cross field pass (yes, it got intercepted, but the quality of his attack play was good).

End of the day Swansea deserved a good win, and counter-attacked very well, but there are at least three (four if you count the gk) other players jointly to blame for the matter of the loss

The second goal the attack was down the right side of the pitch, Swansea got it back on the edge of their box, Michu is barely running towards the QPR goal, the right back pushed high up the pitch got pretty much back, the two cb's were there, Fabio only starting running when he thought there was danger, WAY too late. Just lazing about in midfield thinking he'll get the chance to go forward.

He was entirely at fault for the third, terrible pass in a stupid place gave it away, led to the break and realistically they were having chances along with Swansea and still had a chance to get a goal back and be into it, the third goal killed it completely and it was the worst of the goals defensively.

Who scored the 4th? Right winger up against Fabio, didn't watch the run, happened right infront of him, he let him go, guy scores, he's oblivious to whats going on around him and didn't track almost any runs of the people its HIS job to be marking. He also saw the run, didn't try to match it AND didn't tell Ferdinand who only reacted after he turned around really. But ultimately his job is to get in the way of those runs or follow the player

You can also look at the 5th goal, Onouha I belive(dodgy video I'm looking at) who gifts the ball to Swansea but look at Fabio again, he's not standing in a back 4, he is looking at the play develop and like the 4th goal, makes ZERO attempt to get in and pressure the guy closest to him. (as below this might actually be Park who was rubbish there :p )

The 5th goal might have been Park(dodgy video quality they are similar builds/heights/hair) and at some point it seemed like they pushed Park into left back to stop Fabio being in there and that might have already happened. even ignoring that he has made one HUGE mistake for the real killer goal in the game, and was basically no where for 2 more and not great for the other two either. Even the first goal he's about at the half way line, chips up a pretty stupid pass, Swansea win the ball but instead of getting back and defending he tries to make two challenges and ends up 2/3rds up the pitch and bang in the middle, he only then heads back towards his goal, and again he's only jogging. He actually manages to get in the way of the furthest forward guy, but the whole defence simply works better if the back four operate as a team and know where the left back is, not just pray he'll be there. If Fabio was there, and both CB's were going for that one guy, maybe the other one would have had time and been in a better position to run out and block the shot..... It's not entirely his fault, but he really didn't do any of the right things that time either.

panic stations in the spurs camp for signing a striker. reading more and more reports on us having bids refused for various strikers.

u oooooooh....

I can't remember the last transfer update I did

Sheffield Wednesday have signed a young forward from Barcelona on a season long loan :)

BBC Link.

Sheffield Wednesday sign Danny Mayor from Preston

BBC Link.

Sheffield Wednesday sign Reading winger Michail Antonio

BBC Link.

Rangers: Rhys McCabe joins Sheffield Wednesday

BBC Link.

Actually; He was fantastic when he was with us and I really wanted Wednesday to sign him up, we weren't in a stable situation to be able to pay a fee for him at the time.

Really good quality full back.

So good we didn't want to keep him ;)

Exactly! I haven't seen much of him actually, so couldn't comment on how good/bad he is going to be for us, but got to give him time to prove himself anyway. :)

Also, Blackman looks like he could be a decent buy. Our biggest signing this season though was to get MacDonald to sign a new contract, that was more important than any signing we could have made.
