Well mine turned up today. Speedy delivery, but at £10 it flipping well should be :)

Seems ok, although I haven't done an awful lot on it apart from install a couple of apps so I can stream my music and videos from my NAS.

Has a few oddities, like videos playing in portrait mode unless you install a separate app. The whole portrait/landscape thing seems odd as most of the time it seems to want you to be in portrait.

Of course I haven't investigated very far to see what settings are there, or what I'm missing. It works anyway (and touch wood it'll keep on working), and that's the main thing :)
 
Has anyone else got an issue with Auto-brightness? mine just turns the screen black if I select it, it's unusable, so I have to set it manually, is this normal?
 
how has everyone being finding the external speakers on the nexus? through the headphones the sound is fine but through the external speakers, the sound is extremely crackley , even at low volumes. Not sure if mine is faulty or not, anyone else noticed or have been having problems like this?

yes it doesn't make any difference, I am not the only one according to the search i've just done on google, I can't believe this is the second unit I have had that I am going to have to return (with a different fault).

I can see why these are cheap, they've cut corners with QC.

I might wait for the ipad mini.

What apps are you using to stream from your NAS?

The speakers on mine, while not particularly loud (the Equalizer app really helps with this), do not exhibit this behaviour, so I would say it was faulty.

That's a shame. I got one of the good ones, and it's barely been out of my hands since.
 
Returned mine today instore. They are sending it away for a week to either get repaired or give me a new one :(
Argued as much as possible to try and get a straight swap but no dice :(
 
Installed Flash + Firefox BETA. It runs really badly. iPlayer crashes after 10 seconds. Switching it to landscape crashes it straight away. Anything flash related just does not work.

HALP! :(

Are you running iplayer from within Firefox or as a seperate app? I normally run the app, but have just tried using it via Firefox and it ran flawlessly. The flash I'm running is the one I linked to in an earlier post of mine a day or so ago.
 
I went through 20 pages and couldn't see any flash apk links. :( I'm desperate here as I mainly need twitch.tv live along with their VODs to work and atm it's not delivering.

e: no luck, still crashing when going to full screen on twitch.tv and generally just not working right. Starting to wonder if an iPad would be better?
