A few macros appearing recently which I like to see. here's one from this morning, nice sunny morning for it.

Sorting through a load of macro I done today I was somewhat amused by this little fly who seems to be taking a bit of a bold stance against me & my lens. I think if I'd have got much closer he'd have spat on it.

Edit: Nice beach shot Acid, was looking at it trying to figure if I could recognise where it was then I realised you'd written at the bottom. Doh!

The pose of that fly is great lol.

On the subject of close ups I snapped a couple of shots at a community show today.

And a horse having a sit down!

My bi-annual trip to Bruntingthorpe was today, and I've got some new goodies for it this time around!

These are out of camera (well, imported and exported in Lightroom to add watermark):

Also a Goldwing day, so we had nearly 500 Goldwings coming down the runway

sorry for been a big noob,
But is this pic shopped? The only reason why I ask is that I'm just getting into the swing of photography and I haven't taken a pic no where near as good as this, but like I say I am a noob and can't take a pic for toffee,

So what I'm actually asking is it possible to take a pic this good with just a camera?
And if this pic is taken without photoshop someone please teach me!

He asked two questions and you replied "yes" :D I assume (just to clarify for them) you mean yes to the second bit?

Also while I'm talking to you, I like the photos you've uploaded on here today :)

The first one though, did you miss the focus or have you used noise reduction? The eyes are soft, but the processing (and me being tired) is leaving me undecided on if the focus is the nose, not the eyes, or NR has softened the eyes. Or maybe both.

Nice contrast in them though :)

Yes it's shopped?

It looks like a normal photo to me. A good way to look at an image to see if anything has been altered, unless they've gone to lengths to alter it, is to use exif reader addons for your browser. You can right click an image, select view exif and then if it's there, it's normally a standard photo with basic editing done.
