My WD is fairing surprisingly well on Act III. I get the feeling the moment I hit the final section the Hulking Phasebeasts are gonna rip me a new one but so far its been quite a smooth run, bar the occasional elite causing some problems. Ghom went down first time too, though by the end I had pretty much just backed myself into a corner with half the room full of poison gas so it could've ended badly had it gone on any longer.

And how the hell do Fallen Manics manage to slip past an 80% Unbreakable Grasp of the Dead, the Templar, 3 Zombie Dogs AND a Gargantuan, that are all blocking a doorway, to 1 shot me for 65k damage? Happened about 3 times!
 
Just downed Diablo on normal. I guess it's now the fun begins, not looking forward to taking down Belial again, he was the only boss i had trouble with.

Same for me with regards to Belial, however he was a lot easier than I expected on Nightmare, maybe because I was so worried about what he would be like. I think iirc I took him down 1st time, however on Normal it took 3-4 attempts and a skill change to sort him out.

Up there with the small spiders for being unbelievably annoying.

I'm guessing Earthquake's damage is scaled by WotB? ie don't use it until you are a Beserker when fighting Ghom? *will try shortly*



Edit. Nope still ******* impossible :mad:
My health drops from full to zero in about 2 seconds if I am anywhere near his gas.

Urgh, spiderlings do my head in on act 2. They move like greased lightning and hit just as hard and fast.

Yeah I'm fairly sure thats how it works. Hardest part is going in with max Fury and staying high enough on the trip/cut scene to drop WotB and an EQ when you hit 5x Frenzy (if you use Maniac) but once you hit EQ and if you land a few juicy criticals his hp just plummets.

You not using Ignore Pain and Iron Impact?

*gets killed when I try it again* Meh, its very hit n miss. A few more lucky crits and I'd of had him. That or actually trying to avoid his poison gas clouds.

I've found Rend works quite well for the normal mobs, elite ones I just have to pop all my skills and hope they die before they hurt me too much :p

I found just going to kill a few normal enemies then pop the shout to get my fury up, which is fine. I have tried frenzy but it doesn't seem to work out that great for me :/

I use Ignore Pain, but I'm arguably popping it a little to early before my life has dropped down a bit. Have been trying with charge recently with the life regen recently.

Will try Frenzy, Ignore Pain, Warcry, Leap w/ iron impact, along with Earthquake and WotB at some point...



Brok - it isn't the fact I just want to get past him, I'd just like to be able to solo beat him :D
Finding him damn frustrating, miles more annoying than Belial.

Fingers crossed it happens at some point! :p

Disappointed that my new ring makes next to no difference. IAS, %life, base stats and both Physical and All Resist! Was thinking it'd be mean.

I really do wonder whether Blizzard play tested the game with some of the balancing. Spiders and Fallen Maniacs are hilariously overpowered, some enemies are so weak that you can just ignore them (Serpent electric guys? The generic act 3 baddies that are big but have no damage or health :p) and bosses that are all over the place!
 
just got an interesting drop, the 3 hundredth spear.
lots of + 50% damage to barbs ranged attacks, movement speed, life steal and damage reduction but pretty poor dps at 550. will see if i can get a few thousand for it :D
 
Does anyone know why that when i log into my battlelog account my lev60 DH Hero comes up as 1 BDFJDF with some crap that im on level 1 with 3.0 DPS Crossbow?

This is after ive logged in with my mobile authenticator... am i doing something wrong?!

When was this game released? I've only played 10 hours and still on ACT II Normal, if i actually dedicated some time and got to level 60 i might have earned some money but nooo.
 
managed to kill Azmodan last night, used the same setup I had for Ghom. Lots of All Resist, 800-900 I think with Battle Rage, 2 x 1 handed weapons (they are not the best but I need 2 to get DPS up although it is still < 30K before frenzy) Rend with life, WoB with added damage, Leap with Iron Impact and revenge with life. Use frenzy for attack. I need both Armour passives and I think it was added damage with maximum fury for the third.

Takes time but with leap and iron impact you can jump right onto them and pop rend, attack to get 5 stacks up with revenge when possible and rend until your life starts dropping. Leap again if you can or else run away until you can leap back in but on Ghom I think I just ran away each time.


Also try and remove all the added pickup radius you have so you don't pickup the health globes the mobs drop until you really need them (I also tried to have them dotted all over the place against Ghom since I was running around a lot to avoid the clouds and didn't want to die running to grab one on the other side of the room).
