Don't go up, go under
I am stuck on getting Jute all i seem to be getting it wool which i am not higher for
im also struggling with finding Jute aswell![]()
It's not an imbalance, people just are'nt farming the right mobs, Jute for instance is easy to farm if you know where to look.
I highly recommend checking out http://gw2craftmap.bteamgaming.com/![]()

It's quite ironic that this game wanted to make leveling such a streamlined, seamless process... and yet crafting seems to involve lots of grinding and mob killing. Is this game about grind or not? Have they purposefully made crafting a painful process to level up? Does this invalidate what they've tried to do with the normal leveling/exploration process?

I have already made myself a full set of level 80 rare (yellow) heavy armour, with power/precision/toughness stats for my dual axe warrior, and am currently working on gathering materials for a set of magic find gear and exotic gear of the same stats. I am also leveling weapon smithing at the same time so I am almost self sufficient.
Sigh. I am killing every single mob I come across because of this. Yellow mobs, red mobs, hell even white mobs. I have tried the crafting maps, I have tried the zones that apparently have great drops for leather in each of the zones I have so far done, and I am not getting anywhere near the same number of items as ore for example, or wood. I have over 200 things of green wood, and well over 200 copper ore, left over from levelling up crafting on other characters. I have in total come across about 50 pieces of leather, over almost 3 zones, and your telling me that is not an imbalance?
I'm also most definitely not the only person who has this issue.
Hey guys,
Where is currently the best place to buy this?
Most places seem to be sold out.
I'm still level 70 and I bought the vigil yellow 80 set for 2g in total, which was every weapon I could use and the full set of armour![]()
I've just gone through the normal progression route and 100% completing each area. I have TONS of materials. Copper was the only one I really had a problem with but once I got over that hurdle I had too much of the next tier of mats.
Similarly I have had a lot of leather, as other people have pointed out you need to farm the right mobs.
I've found jute and leather can be obtained very easily if you salvage all the armor drops and loot the stolen bags off centaurs etc.
