EA loses the plot even further

really? some of the best games ever have been single player only. just cause one and two both didnt have multiplayer and i'm pretty sure that all the assassins creed games and skyrim also didnt have multiplayer but i'm happy to be proved wrong on those two

thank god its EA thats blocking single player games and not a decent games company

I'd quote this in the largest font possible, but I don't think I need to. The sooner EA run themselves out of business the better in my opinion.

They won't though. Like Activision, they make mindless games for mindless people - and they make up the majority in this country.

Nothing ruins anything better than it going mainstream - gaming included.

Hes saying if theres no room for multiplayer OR DLC, they are no interested.

Its not the end of the world, there are other publishers.

C&C with no SP is next for them good luck with the sales numbers on that one SP only is still very popular. MP/Co=Op only suits certain games anyway forcing it down your throat is never going to work IMO.

Arrogant post is arrogant

They do suck I agree. But insulting the people who enjoy crisis, dragon age, mass effect, dead space, mirrors edge etc.. Not cool

The guy does come across as a fool but all of their games having some sort of online component isn't exactly bad news. It's not as though he's saying they'll all be online only.

I don't see how more games having multi-player can be a bad thing.

Read the quote correctly. He doesn't say that all games must have multplayer. He says that he believes that all games should have the option of some form of connectivity. Be it multiplayer, friend challenges, dlc etc.

As usual whenever EA is mentioned the chest beating commences. I don't see the problem we live in 2012 and connectivity is becoming a major part of our lives.

I find your post kinda ironic since you have a Sonic themed signature. One of the most popular mainstream franchises in existence.

He says he has not green lit one game that is a single player experience. Nothing about that says dlc.

It's a shame as I prefer single player games for the immersion and not have some tacked on mp portion.
