EDIT - I seem to have posted in the wrong section due to my rage....mod please move to GD, thanks :o

Make up whatever expletive you want for the most useless delivery company going. Personally I used the one beginning with C.

My wife is sat at home waiting for a parcel, told that it would arrive between 1-2pm. Nothing turns up. The next thing I know is that I get a text saying no one was in so its gone back to the depot.
They didnt even bother to ring the bell, just put a note through the letter box saying no one was home.
Trying to find a way to complain but as theres no humans available to talk to I have to use their web form, which diverts me to their dutch website.
Are they always this ****?:mad::mad:

This is classic DPD unfortunately.

The same driver delivers to my work place every single day so he knows that we are always here during business hours.

Yet when it came to the day to deliver my monitor he left a note saying no one was in. This despite the entire car park surrounding him being full with cars.

He even had a contact number for my mobile and our office which he didn't ring :(

BT did the same thing to me when I booked an appointment to have a phone line fitted in my new flat (via SKY).

I waited 2 weeks for an appointment, booked the day off work and spent ALL day inside in the middle of summer watching daytime TV, then when I phoned to find out why he hadn't turned up was told he came round but no-one was in

To rub salt in my substantial wounds I then had to wait another 2 weeks for another appointment, and they missed that one too. Getting angry now just thinking about it.

Consider yourself lucky they managed to find your door to card you

Better than my local yodel drivers seem to manage

In regards to dpd they aren't perfect but they are one of the better couriers

I had the same exact problem last week!

Funny thing is that we have two receptionists at work and no one saw DPD turn up, which shouldn't have been hard to miss given we work in a glass building.

After complaining, they phoned me saying they had turned up but someone had told them to wait 15-20min which prompted them to leave immediately. I know for a fact that this didn't happen, made doubly suspicious when the driver the next day said that it was an agency driver that had turned up. Regardless of their excuse, they never even came up to the floor the address on the parcel had told them to...

Thanks, just sent them an email. I rescheduled it for collection from depot as I dont trust them as far as I can throw them.

No worries, I must have been very lucky I've never had any problems with any courier companies at home, uni or work.

I always get Steve delivering to my door, always on time, top bloke! I'm expecting him to deliver something else any minute now from OCUK

DPD are extremely good comparing to a vast number of delivery companies we have used. They are dealing with over 2 million parcels a day, and to be quite honest from a customer service side of view, they rarely make mistakes. You would have thought there would be lots of mistakes I would have to do every day, but believe it or not I have many days which I deal with no delivery issues at all. Some other delivery companies we have used, I cannot quite say the same, it took up most of my time every day. :p

You cannot judge a delivery company on one delivery.

Was this a DPD delivery from us by any chance? If so, it is probably a good idea to get in touch with me ASAP in the customer service forum and I can sort it all out for you.

Seems more than just DPD are doing this lately.

If they fall behind they'll just post a note through your door instead of waiting etc so they can catch up.

DPD have always been fine with our deliveries.

Same here, they're probably the best out of the current delivery companies in terms of overal service (bar cost possibly), but then I've tended to be lucky historically - all the couriers have been ok here over the past decade.

Lol i had same experience today from Royal mail. heard the letterbox, it was a you was out card, even though he did not Knock. Luckily the post office shuts at 8pm on Wednesdays, so i was able to collect it after 1 hour of "attempted delivery"

No it was for a mobile phone upgrade. I have no doubt you'd offer a good CS experience than what I'm receiving at the moment!

I'm not judging DPD on one delivery, just making the observation that the driver in question is a useless ****.
