I don't know currently as when my parents were sorting our phone line out to be AOL instead of BT, my internet got faster, and i have the 200mbps.
I'll have to do a test later, at work atm.
Edit: For example; before the phone line switch, i was downloading at 500-800kb/s, now i'm downloading at 1.2-1.4mb/s.

The satisfaction is immense blowing up helis with rpgs especially when they are quite close to your position 
. Also equally frustrating when the miss is very close and rpg just goes past the heli tail.
Last night on death valley, the heli started pounding my position, diving straight into my direction. I was lucky as I jumped straight out of its path and fired rpg straight at it and boom!! 2 instant kills

I have consistently been playing in games over the past weeks which are coming down to less that 100 tickets in it.
The main server I play on has an auto balance at the end of every round, so if a team dominates by a certain amount then it will reshuffle and balance the good players with the bad.
Pick your servers better guys.

I have been having major lag problems in Armoured kill
There has been lag on all servers over the last few days. Any maps and I tried UK based and French servers. All the same tough some peeps were not experiencing any problems, though none of them were overseas.

I have the 500mb TP link homeplugs and didnt notice a difference in latency going from direct ethernet. They generally get 260-280mb not 500.
He's found a way to manipulate his connection then.
There's no need for somebody to write a "hack" for this.
If i max out my upload completely then i can make myself completely invulnerable on BF3.
I can no longer send updates back so people just sit there shooting at me and nothing happens. Granted i can't move, but it prooves how easily you can manipulate the in game experience based upon something as simple as using your internet connection for something.
If he had a fixed 295 ping he was probably using something like Laggsta

The idea that somebody has gone to the trouble of creating a hack that subtly changes your ping so as to make you harder to hit seems unlikely.
It isn't just a few people complaining about this problem......
Have a look at nearly every BF 3 forum, people are complaining about it everywhere, even when I watch loads of youtube videos on BF 3 gameplay videos, I always notice how one team is loosing by a huge amount or getting raped instantly. This is the main reason why I and others have stopped playing the game now.
Also I have played on a number of servers and have encountered this problem on every single one, get 2 good close games out of 8 bad/landslide win games. Even the servers that have an auto balance thing at the end of the round are useless.
Although there isn't exactly a huge amount of good servers to choose from, all of them are crap noob servers with like 1000 tickets, instant vehicle spawn, only 2 or 3 maps on rotation.......
I have stopped playing BF 3 now and gone back to BC 2 and haven't encountered this problem anywhere as badly (on a number of servers) in the last 5 or 6 days.

Those are my main servers. I rarely ever experience the issues expressed above.
He didn't seem laggy at all, that's the weird bit...
1 problem with one of the servers, 64 player, too chaotic/spammy for my liking
3 problems with the other server, 64 players, USA server with high ping and it is hardcore
Will give the normal core server a go anyway at some point and see what it is like.

It happened as much on BC2 as it does on BF3. You are only remembering the good times. It happened loads on BF2 as well.
