Don't need a thread for different types of photo, that just makes things too annoying/complex/pain for no reason.

Could have a "Fun share your pics" thread and a "Serious C&C/feedback" thread.

It's too mixed, allot of people (like me) only find a few genres interesting, at least if they were split into genre, people can view what they are interested in, and if they are interested they would be far more likely to offer C&C.

As it stands I rarely enter the post your pics here thread, the same would be true of the fun or C&C threads.

I think all images posted here are open to C&C anyway, it's just not often that people can be bothered.
 
I'd be all for it provided "Wedding Photography" had a thread or better still a sub-forum of its own for all related discussion as well as images. I think giving it a dedicated space would be a huge and long overdue improvement.
 
I don't think sub-forums are going to happen I'm afraid. Also 6/7 sticky threads will look very messy at the top of the forum - just have them as normal threads?
 
I meant just one sticky thread to organise them, or even just links in a pre-existing sticky. Just so we know where to look if we're after a specific one. The others ones can be normal and come and go as the please.
 
Thanks for commenting. I think normal threads will get lost fairly quickly unfortunately. Particularly some of the slightly less popular genres.

If 6/7 is too many, how about 3-4 of the most popular, with the rest going into the post your pictures here thread that doesn't have to be a sticky?
 
How about 3 sticky threads like..

1) Post your portraits, weddings & candids here thread.

2) Post your nature, sports, & Macro's here thread.

3) Post your landscapes, astronomy & panaramics here thread.
 
Someone create the threads with a common prefix in the subject line, also link to all of the threads in the first post of each thread?

People can create other threads on other subjects as and when, we just need to manage the first posts of each to keep things up to date. Also if A.N.OTHER could update the sticky to include the threads that would be great?

I'll create a couple anyway...
 
Doesn't look too messy not to make um sticky's to me, except nature an wildlife could probably be made into one, as well as people and weddings, it could instead be weddings and portraits.

Added a poll, but looks like someone has already created threads. I've no problem with multiple threads, but we won't sticky them individually because of the number.

Can add links to them all in a sticky though.
 
Well I've only created these threads so people can see what can be done rather than just talking around it. Delete\replace as required.
