Singapore Grand Prix 2012, Marina Bay - Race 14/20

Yes but this may come as some surprise to you but its not all about winning races its about consistency.
Keep coming in the top 3 or so pays dividends that is why Alonso is still top of the championship

That doesn't mean they have the fastest car though, which is what was being discussed

Aye, what's this?

"It's one of the best tracks and we enjoy driving here. The atmosphere is fantastic and it was a fun race again. In Monza it was Lewis winning and Sebastian retiring and here it's Lewis retiring and Sebastian winning so as long as that keeps happening and I pick up points along the way I'll be happy."

I think people misheard 'Sebastian retiring' as 'Sebastian retarded' or something

Wow the hd coverage took up 6.5 gb just for the race on BBC hd

Just had a look at my recording for the whole of the race on BBC1 HD

lol

also for Suzuka I hope button or webber does better to improve the championship

Button and Webber doing well won't improve anything, it'll just rob Vettel (and to a lesser extent Kimi and Hamilton) of points and just let Alonso run away with it.

They're too far back to do anything meaningful now.

The only thing that's going to stop this becoming a formality for Alonso at this stage, is Vettel or a series of horrendous results but given his amazing consistency this season, that seems unlikely.

edit - for example, for Jenson to win the title, he needs to literally win every remaining race with Alonso averaging 4th or lower, which isn't impossible but it's incredibly incredibly unlikely.
