Thanks kona. If I happen to end up with a Windows phone (unlikely but possible I suppose) does My Backup Pro work with Windows or only Android?

Also, I presume I never need to back up my calendar events and contacts since they're always synced online?
 
New update out to fix the apex FC issue:

Sorry about the faulty v1.3.0 release. We did test it before pushing the update, but the problem occurred in the final export process. It was a configuration issue rather than coding issue, which we did not expect. For those still getting FCs, you may update to the latest version from the web store on your computer. Once the latest version is pushed to your device, it will work again and you will not lose your preferences and data. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

Ah! What just happened? Apex updated and after turning tablet mode back on everything is bigger. Big icons and widgets on the home screen and in the app drawer. It looks like Fisher Price My First Tablet :(
 
Save me reading through all 390 pages, My nexus 7 arrives today (16gb Version)

WHats best for streaming music and films from a DLNA nas box?

Im seeing people mention plex but it looks like it needs a client on a pc in order to stream?

ES File Explorer and BS Player work fine for me, and both free!

My phone was fine.

My Nexus 7 changed to 4x6 icons on the home screen with larger icons. I've got it back to 8x6, but its got smaller margins either side of the home screen icons meaning everything is much bigger. I assume its because its now based on stock JB not ICS?
 
The new apex is working very nicely so far! Very smooth and fast.

The open/close app animations i.e. "activity animations" feel a lot more responsive too. Back to deciding on JB or ICS animations :p :o

I was going to try the new nova out as well, but don't think I will bother as I doubt the following has been fixed/included:

- landscape view
- redraws
- infinite scrolling in the app drawer
 
Has anyone managed to save SoundCloud streams using Android?

I've tried the 'SoundCloud downloader' app that says to use the Share button from within the Soundcloud app, but there isn't a share button that I can see. :o
 
I updated Maps on my JB GNex a couple of days ago and now I constantly get "Maps has crashed" when my phone is in use. I'm not even using Maps, but guessing it's doing something in the bg.

Anyone else getting this?
 
When I care to look (all you can eat on 3 = FTW!), Android's built in usage meter is perfectly fine.
