The 1 big difference I've noticed is this:

Chris Moyles - when he had guests in, he always demonstrated his authority and used to rip the guests, which I found funny.

GrimBORE - treats the guests like royalty and ends up making himself look like an idiot with a poor 1 liner that doesnt deliver. He's really awkward to listen to.

Ruined my commute also, just don't find GrimBORE engaging at all and just get the feeling he's one of those people that trys to fit in with everyone for the sake of it
 
The difference for me is that when Moyles was on I used to press snooze as soon as any music was played but listen whenever the team were talking as whatever they were discussing was usually interesting or funny. I don't want to listen to music when I'm still snoozing in bed, and especially not the half the crap that is on the R1 playlist.

Now I find I hate the music (still) and that Grimshaw doesn't really have anything interesting to say and thus ZZZZZzz. I think Scott Mills would have been a better choice given his arrogance/smugness matched that of Moyles. I think that's what you need to carry show like the breakfast show.

Have people not listened in a while. It's certainly not a loop of tracks that I seem to find on commercial radio.

My preference

Scott mills.. Love the bottom of the pan humour. Innuendo bingo is my favourite thing on radio! Stupid street, etc.. The pod cast I listened to today had farts playing down the phone, i almost had to pull over!
Chris moyles.. Can only take it for a few weeks at a time
Non prime time djs
Greg James.. Boring but no hate
Grimshaw.. His voice grates on me and he just sounds so lazy and sloppy
Fern.. Unbelievably dull, nothing more to say

Only times I listen are 9ish am and 6ish pm and with Scott moved and moyles off Iddon't listentto radio 1 live

What I do is listen to the Scott mills podcast on way to work andback , I don'tcare mmuch for mainstream radio.. Oh kiss how you bore me.

I do occasionally listen to heart dance anthems. And Friday night dance on R1/kiss but mainly the podcasts now
 
I've just loaded up my USB with past podcasts and shows (which I've not heard) and listen to that in the morning. Not a fan of any other morning radio station. I enjoy the banter which the Chris Moyles show bought, I don't particularly want lots of music in the morning.

What is Radio? :p

I cannot remember when I last listened to the radio on a regular basis, even in the car its always a CD playing, I cannot stand people talking in between music and then hearing adverts, I downloaded a mix the other day which was from 1Xtra, the guy talked through most of the guest DJ's set asking him questions etc. I couldn't stand it.
 
I can't stand Radio 1, it's for kids and braindead morons. I usually listen to my own CDs, Smooth FM for music or BBC4 for talking. I usually find Radio4 a little low brow for my tastes, never mind Radio 1.
 
I will only listen to John Eckert recite times tables during my morning commute.

Everything else is just ******g stupid.
