Typically I get annoyed with adverts, but recently saw a ton of Bombardier adverts with Rik Mayall

Picked up 4 bottles to try it out, that got me thinking. This is the first time I've consciously bought something after seeing an advert for it.

What's your last one?

(haven't tried it yet as I've finished a round of meds)

i miss those days :(

i think it was a push pop

i was about a month behind everyone else seeing the advert too

don't think it'd pass reg's these days

The Coors light adverts with Jean Claude Van Damme make me get it if I see it on tap somewhere. I think there's a couple of other amusing adverts that I pay attention to.

I really like focused adverts, its the ones that you have absolutely no interest in at all that annoy me. My last purchase from an advert was X-Com Enemy Unknown, I'd completely forgotten about it, until I saw the advert.

So sometimes adverts can be good, they do alert you to products you actually want, but they need to be focused, as watching all the lady products being advertised on TV is both unnecessary and annoying (maybe I need to cut out daytime tv ).

last time I thought "marketing has worked on me there" was the David Beckham boxer shorts, luckily there a nice fit.

I find that 'Advertising' has a complete opposite effect on me in that the more a product is pushed, the more I will actively avoid buying or using the product/service, the more annoying or simply retarded the advert the stronger the effect. As an example a while ago there was an inane smart phone advert with some no-name photography student who decided to use this phone instead of a camera to do some 'shoot' while falling out of a plane, the only effect it had on me was to think anyone who owns one of these phones must be a complete retard, even though I know they are not. :)

Also, somewhat bizarrely I used to love the Guinness ads, always amazing advertising, I've never bought a Guinness in my life, tasted it once and thought it was rank, I did however once buy a Music Album I would never have bought because the Guinness advert had used a track of the Album in it.

I know what advert you mean, it's a HTC phone I think.

I really didn't get how that would entice anyone into buying that phone, it made like no sense at all.

The song "Breathe Me" by Sia. Not an advert for the song, but playing in the background of Prince of Persia.

Don't generally do impulse buys. Will do a bit of a reccy first.

Edit: Maybe Sleeping Dogs after seeing the live action trailer.

I tend not to get anything via tv ads, more word of mouth or just been waiting for a new game/blu ray(after viewing them at cinema) to come out.

Probably Cigirex e-cigarettes. Though it was in print, not TV. And has been nothing but a headache as they keep taking money from my account despite cancelling their underhanded subscription.
