Just an update contrary to this message and its going to upset Duffman no doubt if true (sorry mate) but BuyMobiles.Net are showing both colours in stock and next day delivery now! GO>GO>GO :D

I cancelled my Mobilephonesdirect order and and ordered with them (again). 36 pounds Full Monty on T-Mobile in Grey.

Yep, that's what the banner says!

Ah I should have done the quidco deal, I was too panicked by it been in stock! lol.

Maybe I should do the introduce a friend deal and split the 20 50/50? lol.

You have the exact combination of technological wonder that I would like by the end of the year :P. Galaxy Note 2 should be by the end of the week, rMBP by December and Nexus 7 as soon as the rumoured 3G version turns up :P

More on-topic and addressed to all:

Are third-party contracts Data services still up to par with the networks themselves?

So for example the T-Mobile Full Monty deal through MPD.

Why is it that I can get this through MPD but not through T-Mobile directly?

can tether or not tether? Truly unlimited or fair usage? :P

I have not even touched the Nexus 7 since getting my rMBP and Note 2. I will be selling the Nexus next week. The Note 2 is so close to the Nexus 7 and faster that there is no need for the Nexus.

For an extra 100 over two years you could get an unlimited minutes/texts/data with T-Mobile? Obviously pointless if you would never go near your limits but if that's likely it would be worthwhile and no upfront cost to pay :)

yeah, i did see those deals but pointless with my usage, although I'm on the phone with T Mobile now who are trying to locate a gray Note 2 and have beaten the deal:

£80 Upfront
£27 a month
600mins
Unlim. text
750mb

£728...

Yeah that's a good deal and beats the online version which would be £744.

All depends on your usage I guess :)

Damn OCUK for tempting me with things......

Now contemplating selling on my SGS2 and Galaxy 10.1 tab and getting one of these SIM free.

May have to go and have a play and see if I am truley swayed on it

Yeah, I saw that actually... Got an email this morning.

Well, at this stage I may as well wait another week for the LTE version. Won't have much time to play around with it next week anyway - had a load of extra work-related stuff dumped on me last minute.

Glad to see it's actually available now though!

I emailed Buymobilephone.net Customer service asking if the phone would be sim free and they said "We would not be able to define whether these are unlocked or branded until the point of shipping. "

If you like touchwizz and the size is a positive to you then I'd imagine you'll love it.

Had to pop out for an hour and decided while I was out that I will order the Full Monty deal from buymobilephones when I get home, but thanks to all you guys getting your orders in quick they no longer have stock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was meant to be, I think a 32GB version is sat out there somewhere for me. I just need to find it... :p

Hello,
I ordered a Note 2 on-line and then phoned up T Mobile to cancel, cancelled. I then received a phone call trying to “retain” me, as it happens the deal was good so I decided to stay (saved £40). It transpired that I would have to go to a Carphone Warehouse to collect the phone, called them and surprise, surprise no Gray ones in sight, I then decided to call T Mobile:

Me:
I spoke to you an hour or so ago regarding my upgrade, a Note II (Gray), Carphone Warehouse do not have any Gray at the moment, if I waited for T Mobile stock, would this be the 4G Note 2, obviously still on my 3G contract?

T Mobile
Yes it would be a 4G ready handset on T-Mobiles 3G contract.
Did they mention when they would get them in stock?

Me:
Just to clarify the one from Carphone Warehouse would be 4G ready or if I waited the one from T Mobile would be?
I ask as I didn’t think the currently available Note 2’s are 4G ready? (Until T Mobile and Orange supply them)

T Mobile:
All the Galaxy Note 2 handsets directly from us and orange will be 4G ready; they come in on the 15th of October with T-Mobile if you’re willing to wait?

Me:
Now we’re talking!
I’ll wait until the 15th and have one directly from you please, I assume this will be posted or do I still need to collect?

T Mobile:
I’ll be posting this one too you on next day delivery for free as soon as they drop in stock.

Bottom line:

£80 Upfront
£27 a month (24 months)
600mins
Unlimited Text
750mb

And a 4G ready Note 2 (assuming this will be worth a lot more in 2 years or I could upgrade when 4G is established).

^^^ What the hell?!

I called T-mobile today to try and arrange a 4G note, and was told flat out that they have no pricing for the Note2, and that they won't be able to disclose any pricing until the phone is released on October 15th!

I've had two contracts with them for 2 years, and another one for 2yrs before that, so it's not due to a lack of loyalty.

Things like this make me consider jumping ship.
