Borderlands 2 release date confirmed ( Launch trailer also )

I didn't know that PC gamers were this lame having to use exploits and hacks to play a game. Just play it normally and use your skill and official golden keys to march your way through the game.

If legendary items were easy to get then they wouldn't be legendary.

I'm not saying they should be easy to get. They are impossible unless you have no life and want to spend hundreds of hours 'farming' bosses. It makes the game boring as hell having to do that to get stuff.

I played for 140 hours and only 3 were dropped naturally during the game.

You don't get anything special so it's not making the game easier and they scale with your level. They have given out loads of keys and are planning to give away more anyway. You're making it out to be something it's not. People who give themselves all the skills in the skill trees etc are ruining the game for them selves and making it easier. Getting a few cool looking weapons instead of the usual Jacobs rusty ones is not.

In fact saying that, I'm still using a Jacobs sniper rifle that I found a while back as I can't find anything better.

Anyway, to get back on topic, here is my current skill tree setup with Axton.

http://www.bl2skills.com/commando.html#50552105515000000000005500100000

Also got a class mod that adds 4 points to last ditch effort skill, so it adds a total of 9 points in that skill, which is great for getting second winds.

I tried the right tree for a while but the extra turret just got in the way if anything and they still deploy for the same length of time. The middle tree is also pretty good. the nuke is a bit useless but the longer rage it adds is useful and also ups some of your gun skills etc.

Woke up to this

I have not seen one that adds to last ditch, the one you get from the secret boss gives 4 points to the first 2 skills in guerrilla and gunpowder as well as 4 points in healthy. The mod drops very frequently and its not to hard to solo with a certain shield that infrequently drops from killing a news station host :p

I've built my Axton around using that.

Forty odd hours in and I've just got my first Legendary gun!
Just my luck its a shotty and the spec for it isn't that great.
Until I came to reload it then it flew off round the area shooting at bad guys whilst another spawned in my hands!
I love the way this game is full of surprises :D

Wouldn't you be better off maxing out Onslaught and putting 2 points in Able rather than Grenadier? 5 extra grenades just doesn't seem worthwhile over the alternatives.

What sort of damage was the nuke inflicting?

Burst fire when zoomed on a sniper rifle has ruined just about every decent one I've picked up. Hate it, just can't get away with it, especially after it recoils and sends you off target. Don't even bother trying them now.

yes deffo, but it's ok if you have loads of ammo around you, because it is handy especially against Buzzards.

to fire it properly against badasss bandits without wasting ammo, aim for their Balls first and the final recoil shot will be a head shot, do not target their head...ever, because you'll only hit them once ! :D

the trouble is all the other single shot snipers i've found are too slow, the best guns are deffo in the 1st game, better looking too...in fact, all the guns are better in the 1st game.

this 2nd game isn't really a sniper game anyway, there are too many of them plus they charge you at close range..

the worst of all are those cannon rifles, the ones with yellow/ green/white graphics, even the 6000 damage ones are useless, or that rubbish 3 barrel gattling, just total junk.

the best is a sniper backed up with a high damage machine pistol, ( twin barrel 6000, it kills everything) or a Torque shot gun, or an electric pistol.

Now u can get vault Hunter mode and obsolete all your old guns

about to kill Warrior again, when you finish 2nd playthough does the whole game level up to 50 or are the lower side missions that i havent done still on level 42...?

when finished, i'll redo all my skill points and put them into melee, see how the sword works

That post doesn't even make sense. The burst fire rifles suck but they do not recoil that much between shots. Unless you're sniping them from a mile back which kinda contradicts with the whole 'the enemies always rush you' statement.

This game is no more sniper friendly than the last one. Psychos seem slightly more common but the vast majority of human enemies are ranged and the creatures were always melee focused.

no, the gun recoils up quite a lot if you're not that far back as well, it recoils like crazy at 200ft, but yes not at close range ( obviously) , but if so you shouldn't be using a sniper rifle anyway, secondly; a sniper rifle should never fire in burst fire mode, only semi auto at best..... that gun is not a true sniper rifle, it's technically an Assult rifle.

the last game was more sniper friendly simply because you had far fewer AI at such close range, in fact, many of them dont spawn until you walk right by, especially in a large bandit camp !

this 2nd game plays nothing like the first, the camps here are much larger, we had nothing like this in the 1st game, these bandit camps are more like villages/ towns, you have to travel through them, this is not an area to use a sniper rifle, the AI here is dense, heavily armed, many more badasses plus finally bandits in the sky, it aint nothing like the 1st game at all, plus of course we have powered armour as well.

this 2nd game is chalk and cheese compared to the first

Id suspect they stay at level 42 but haven't done the last boss fir the second time yet

i'll soon find out, this means you cant farm for weapons when you've finished, you'll need to find a level 50 side mission to get level 50 loot.

but you will still find massive rifles at level 46 if you're lucky, but not back at level 42.

I picked up a burst fire when scoped sniper rifle and if you're quick to unscope it fires a single shot so its not really a problem. Burst fire is good for buzzards as well a you can get three quick shots on target too.
