*** The Official Samsung Galaxy Note II Thread ***

Still in awe of the battery! Today it has been on for just over 16 hours with 3.5 hours screen time and 30 mins calls on a bluetooth headset. Still got 55% left.

I got my note 2 today still getting used to the size but generally pretty pleased with it so far. It feels pretty likely to slip out of my hand though so I need a case, whats recommended? I don't want anything that will make it even bigger..

I ordered the official flip cover: Looks quite slick, protects the screen nicely, and won't make the phone much bigger:

If you're mainly concerned with impact protection then a different cover might be more suitable. There are a few hard covers available.

+1

I took it off charge yesterday evening at around 9pm and I've been using the phone all day today. I managed to get it down to 15% and that was with heavy usage, over 4.5 hours screen time. I can't see this battery ever dying on me because I normally start the day with my phone fully charged.

The LTE version (7105?) doesn't support the 900Mhz band does it? Will this mean that for some providers later on it won't always support 4G in the UK?

I ask because I'm considering getting one, Vodafone have a nice 12 month deal but that's going to be the non-LTE version (not that I care especially about 4G but it makes more sense to get it than not I guess).

As far as we're aware the LTE version T-Mobile & Orange are reselling is 1800mhz only, like the iPhone 5. I'm sure other carriers will get there own 4G compatible versions once they launch 4G/LTE.

My order with T-Mobile has gone through, the lady on the phone said they expect stock next week. I've also purchased the grey flip cover from eBay :).

Now to order Sandisk 32GB Ultra MicroSD :D.

I almost bought a Note 2 for £400 yesterday. Seems a decent price, but I'm trying real hard not to spend a lot at the moment and wait to see if I get one on my upgrade...

Loving the phone!! Going from Apple to Android theres so much to learn but in a good way. Is anyone having trouble assigning facebook pictures to exsisting contacts? Everytime I try it brings over ALL 800 odd facebook friends into my phonebook regardless of telling it to use exsisting contacts only!

Also which is the best Android store to use? And is there anyway to incease font size on this forum when holding phone vertically (Its fine horizontally).

Sorry for all the questions! :)

Selecting "sync with existing contacts" when installing facebook if it did'nt try uninstalling and doing it again. Use the Play Store for your apps, you can browse the store via your PC and send the apps you want too your phone, or browse via your phone the choice is yours.

This phone is freaking awsome. Coming from a sgs2 its a hell of an improvement. The screen is brilliant. Iny had it for about 2 hours now. Best saturday for a while. :). Glad I got the grey one too....its gorgeous.

I'm hoping they'll ship for delivery on the 15th but that's not the impression I got from the T-Mobile rep :(

A few sources on the net said 11th release date so its possible. I ain't holding my breath tho, I'm expecting mid next week. Ain't long now. In the mean time I'm playing with the non lte version :D
