AMD budget build opinions

I'm still so undecided about the AMD A8 or the Phenom :/

But I do like the sound of the price for all those components.

Does the AMD A8 have the GFX for games available at the moment?

The IGP is good, but get a dedicated 7750.

Stulid, I'm surprised you haven't suggested anything and are full on going along with it.

The Intel i3 3220 with 7750 will kick the snot out of the A8 in gaming, it's not even comparable.
A Phenom II 955 with 7750 will do the same to the A8.

But you're buying a worse system.

Has everyone lost logic? We never suggested GT640's for gaming, now we're suggesting sub GT640 performance?

AMD/Intel aside, a 7750 can be put in the budget and is better than an A8 IGP, a lot better.

Could you spec up a system with the 7750 for around the same price and I will make a decision. I do accept your opinion but its all money at the moment.

Thanks in advance!

That Trinity build you're buying is worse than the AMD and 7750 I spec'ed, gaming wise it'll get kicked around by the 7750 GPU.

Its more expensive as well. Seeing as you would want at least a G620

Thanks for your efforts Martini1991, but I'm just not sold by intel. Also i'm not looking for super graphics, just enough to run some light games at a decent framerate.

Thanks Idleman, I'm not so sure about buying used parts, I wanna start fresh with retail parts :(

It doesn't matter whether or not you're sold by Intel.
Getting an A8 over a discrete GPU like the 7750 is ludicrous, regardless of the CPU.

The 7750's far from a super GPU, but they fit in the same budget.

I know Stulid likes his APU's, but what happened to logic?

As the Trinity motherboard you have selected is mATX, you can get away with a smaller (cheaper) cases.

Other cases also have USB3.0 front ports.

But as you have to look at it all day long, you pick the one you want.

Stulid, are you purposely trying to get him to get a Trinity regardless that it's the lesser choice in this system? I don't care if he gets a Phenom II or an Intel i3/Pentium, but suggesting an A8 IGP over a 7750 is absolutely ridiculous.

It's up to the OP to decide what he can afford thank you, I'm not try to do anything apart from answer his questions.

:D 10 out of 10 for persistance Martini...

I just want people to get the best they can.

It happened on another forum, someone suggested a high end Trinity build, but you could have had a 7850 on the budget.

It's like people have forgotten we didn't use to tout the GT640 as a gaming card, why are we now suggesting sub GT640 performance?

Martini1991, could you do me a massive favour and spec up your best build opinion because I think you make sense. Using the GFX card you speak of with the Phenom XII 965 BE as well as the other parts I have used.

Forgoe a case and get an i3 and a 560 448 ti/7850. Cases are ten-a-penny and a good one isn't required in such a build. That's what i'd do on such a budget.

Please somebody spark the intel vs amd debate. Love reading sound advice getting completly ignored.
