*** The Official Samsung Galaxy Note II Thread ***

Got mine last night direct from TMobile. Just echoing everyone else's comments, this truely is an epic phone. However, im still not sure on the size, i have pretty large hands, and its not as comfortable as my previous Desire HD.
I can see it becoming a non issue, but will see how it goes for the next few days.

I need a dock to use for the bedside (the phone will be my alarm clock!), does a dock exist which i can use with a case on the phone?, with something like one of this TPU plastic cases.

If anyone needs a pdf editor, todays amazon free app is ezPDF pro usually £1.99 on the market.

Seems to work well with the S-Pen.

Not sure if it's any better than Adobe as i've not used that feature before.... didn't realise you could even edit until i just checked a few minutes ago.

Well, grabbed one.
I decided to just buy one sim-free and to hell with it. I was waiting to see if it was worth ditching Three and going with EE for LTE but those prices for such pitiful amounts of data are just bonkers.
Should be here tomorrow.

I use that app and its great. I had to sign every page of a 42 page document sent to me as a PDF. Used that app with the Note 2 and sent it back within a few minutes. Guy who sent it was like WTF how did you sign and send back so quick ;)

Got mines today, quite a nice phone.

It has Vodafone apps, how can I flash over a stock firmware to get rid of them?

Also, an icon has appeared at the side of the screen which wne pulled out shows apps, how can I disable this?

Sorry for being a noob, but how do I get hold of this app?

I tried the google play store, but it shows as £1.99...

Have a look on the xda board for roms etc. The note 2 is simple to root and flash.

Those apps are your multi screen or multi task apps list. Open and hide it by holding the back button down - very handy :)

Has there been any confirmation regarding the Freqs this uses for 4G yet?

All I can see in this thread now are tariff details :p

The phone, like the S3 LTE, has 800Mhz, 1800Mhz and 2600Mhz bands.

EE currently use only 1800Mhz - the other frequencies will be auctioned off next year.

Been into Phones4u today and been offered this contract: £36pm on Orange, free Note2 16GB, 900 mins, unlimited texts, 1GB data. Any good? £5 more than what I pay now (currently only get 200 mins however), but at least I won't have to pay £269 for the handset like I did when I bought the 4. Plus, I've got a buyer waiting for my 4 for £200 :)

SO if I were to buy a Note2 (that is LTE capable) it would be best to do it now before the extortionate EE 4G tariffs arrive? Presumably, I will be limited to 3G only?
