Windows 8 who's buying/upgrading

Haha yeah :D

I think I was just having a moan as I hadn't started using basic keyboard shortcuts or installed my trackpad driver - so my fingers were getting a workout and I was getting grumpy :p

I still don't really see the point of having two operating systems in one but I'm genuinely enjoying Windows 8 now. Typing this out with Xbox Music off to the right. Even better it found my old Zune purchases! I thought David Guetta - Metro Music was quite fitting ;)

Yeah it'll create an ISO for you to burn to disc! So a bit pointless paying for the boxed version...

Check in the add / remove windows features to see if youve got iis selected as an active feature.

Perhaps iis was active in your old os, so w8 upgrade did the same, it's not normally active by default.

I take it you don't normally use your pc as a web server, or you installed web development software?

Either that or you got anything involving web sharing, like a printer perhaps?

No dont use my pc as a web server, so I shall just leave it alone, Thanks for the help.
 
was set on getting this but I'm unsure if steam will run fine and also fm13 which I play and having just bought fm13 I don't want to throw £30 down the drain if its incompaitable with w8.

Anyone got steam and fm13 working?

Testing my Steam games now,Skyrim is working fine :),off to test ME3 MP via Origin now.

Origin is working fine,I just did a full match in ME3 MP against geth.

The FM13 beta and Win8 Enterprise Evaluation work without any problems for me.

Steam works perfect on my release preview & FM12 worked fine also so if FM13 doesn't I'd be surprised, Either way if it doesn't just set compatibly mode!

Oh yeah hurry up & dispatch my copy OcUK :p
 
Does anyone have any idea why the Windows 8 Task Manager is reporting my current CPU speed as 5.13Ghz?!

This is a 3570k overclocked to 4.2Ghz. CPUZ reports current speed as 4.2, Task Manager even says Maximum Speed 4.2... But it lists current speed as 5.13 :/
