Windows 8 who's buying/upgrading

Bring up the charm bar, pick settings then at the bottom choose Change PC Settings.

How's the trackpad working? Is it ok out of the box so to speak? Bootcamp or Paralells?

Release Preview was a bit of a non starter on my MBP I just wonder if it's improved much.
 
Wow, I'm no computer noob but they have made this whole thing really confusing.

Where do I download the ISO? I bought Win 8 Pro via the upgrade assistant but I wanted to grab an ISO so I canceled the assistant. There is no link in the email with my key so what do I do?
 
Can you still download the preview version, and if so where please? I want to load that on and then buy the Pro upgrade as mentioned in an email from Microsoft.

And for those of you that have bought the £24.99 version, did you get a cd key for re-installs etc? And is the cd key different to any other key you may have upgraded it from?

I was emailed the cd key and it also appeared in the win 8 assistant. I'm guessing I just let the assistant do its thing and I will be given the option to create an ISO?

edit: yes it looks like that is the case.

They've taken down the Release Preview download page, but it's still in Google cache and the download links still work: http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...review+download+link&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk

After purchasing Windows 8 you get a 'Thank you for your order' screen which displays your product key. It's also emailed to you in the order confirmation email. The product key is different to the product key of the OS that you upgraded from.

but win8 preview isn't a valid license...
 
Well, I am happy with the upgrade. I wrote the file to DVD and installed it and everything is working fine now. I even think I like the lack of Aero.

Juts got to get some Steam games sorted out to be sure,.

When did it allow you to create an iso? And you then did a fresh install without a prior windows install?

Tried that mate, gone tp personalize, the startup. But all that does is change my user profiles lock screen and metrp dash colour scheme.

When I login from boot or log out of my profile it still goes back to blue. :confused:

i think i wasnt very clear on what i have asked, i dont have access to msdnaa anymore yet the license was acquired when i had access. I cant get Win8 through msdnaa now...
