win 8 preview license expire after 3 monthsSo his good to go so long as he doesnt upgrade after feb 2013 his good to go.
how much is the retail pro version btw? is it some redicolous price ie £100+?
im tempted to buy one full version and the rest on upgrade
Likewise! I got two as I had assumed that my first attempt had failed.Just got my WMC key it only took 26 hrs or so.
I just read on another forum that the upgrade process works fine on no so legit versions of Windows 7. This could be the perfect opportunity to get legit OS for some
really?
I didn't even have an old windows on mine when I did it and it worked. Tbh I doubt MS care too much as long as your paying the £15 and they can get as much Win 8 spread about as possible. They will try and make the money from Apps and other things they can charge for.
I know this might sound controversial but after doing a lot of testing tonight I don't even think Microsoft are checking of certain details are genuine..
But hey big clap for Microsoft... one way to prevent piracy is to actually sell a product at a reasonable price then people will not have reason to pirate.
Sorry if this is a silly question. I understand that when you start the upgrade it asks if you want to keep existing apps, settings and personal files, or personal files only, or nothing.
If you select nothing does it format and carry out a clean install, or does it still do an upgrade and just delete stuff?
