Hi all I am hoping to sell a few of me old bits soon to go towards a new system.

I have at the moment

Q6700
ATI 4890 1gb
4gb ram
asus striker extreme

I was looking at this bundle

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-063-OE&tool=3

It looks like it would be an awsome upgrade I will be keeping the ATI 4890 1gb as I wont have enough money to get a new card.

Would this be a good upgrade or would you go for another bundle?

on my q6700 I use a titan fenrir the first one but I wont use it on me new build as I put a straight edge on it the other day and its crap

With a decent aftermarket cooler you will get a good 4.4-5Ghz OC with good temps.

Some good coolers to choose from, although it will depend on your case.

Arma 2 is cpu dependant, hence more threads will give better performance, more and more games (BF3 for example) have better framerates with i7's. The old adage that an i5 is adequate for gaming doesn't apply anymore.

Hyperthreading is not going to help you out in a game. Also, without massive amounts of fiddling Arma 2 barely uses a quad core anyway. Damn game is a mystery.

Reallllyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

So you shut down Windows explorer and all those pesky tasks like anti virus etc when you game? A 2600k/2700k/3770k will give you better framerates in games - enough to warrant buying one? Probably not, but it still gives better framerates.
