yes but that area between hyperion/ bunker has the best loot in the game, go back at level 50 and farm it like crazy

It is the 4th form of Varkid evolution that can be found anywhere Varkids roam free under the midnight sun *cough* and there aren't '3' of them because they have to evolve to reach that state and do so randomly.

They're on until Sunday mate.
the ones i fought were the next stage up from the super badass one ( the yellow one that dives under the ground), this one is about 12 ft tall, i think you'll find it's the same one, because it evolves 4 times from the original Varkid.
this one is down in the caustic caverns, but could be elsewhere too, but it is not the same as Tiny Tinas, that version is more colourful and doesn't look quite as tall, because the one in caustic caverns is flipping massive and quite slow moving
