Very pleased with my ride today, furthest ive been so far!
http://app.strava.com/activities/27166410

what i dont undersrand, it says i got 2nd fast time and a 3rd fastest time ?

They are compared to YOUR PB times, not everyone else's.
So the 2nd you got, was the 2nd fastest YOU have cycled that route....NOT 2nd overall.

If you got 2nd overall, you get a gold trophy looking thing, rather than a medal.

thats what i thought, but thats the first time ive gone down that road

EDIT

Actually yes ive been on that section once before! lol

Thanks for the link, thats good to know!
Did it get hotter than normal running that voltage?
Was it brighter than normal?

That is the voltage output of the standard battery, so there's no difference at all.
Apart from the fact the battery should last longer (running time and life), you can't tell any difference.

Ah yes, you're right, sorry.
I'm getting mixed up with the torch-style ones which take a single 18650 battery (3.7volts).

Not related to rule 32 but i was looking at rule 31 and the way around it - im so getting a Lezyne caddy sack and ditching the saddlebag - getting fed up of cleaning it and dont trust its waterproof!

I've got a lezyne caddy. Used it for about two months.

I didn't want it in my jersey on a weekend as its actually quite a lot if kit and for commuting it was only good if I used the same bag every day and then remembered to take it out of the bag at the weekend.

Instead, I have a Fizik iPak and I've got Fizik Arione saddles on the three bikes I ride further than the station or the park. I can unclip the bag with one hand and move it between bikes as required.

I still have to remember to move it back to the commuter on a Monday morning.

Interesting, i like the idea of putting phone in it etc as water resistent - my saddlebag is caked in mud at the moment and i end up putting a tube in a back pocket anyway! My commute is 15/16km so i dont need much kit and i would have the saddlebag if needed.

What size one did you have and how much could you fit in it?

I have no idea how big it is but it generally holds a tube, 2 x co2, co2 pump, 3 x levers, lezyne patch kit and a multi-tool.

I keep my phone in a ziplock sandwich bag in my jersey pocket.

Can anyone reccomend a chain breaking tool and a replacment chain for a 10s Campagnolo drivetrain nothing fancy just something that won't wear out in 5 minutes, and is there anything else i need to do the job appart from these two things?

anyone used J E James Cycles ?
ive decided on some rollers now. some elite Arion Mag rollers

cheapest Price here

They are massive so I wouldn't worry too much. I had a wee shot of the normal Arions and after getting used to them they felt pretty good. Louder than I thought though.

I'd use the CT5 tool on a 10 speed chain rather than the bmx one. The width of the tool will be too much for the narrower chain if you use one like that.
