Don't bother with the Fatboy, it's rubbish. It really is just an overpriced cushion sleeve for a charging plate. You have to fiddle around with the plate position and the phone doesn't even seem to sink into it, so the phone can fall off.

Also, Expansys have shipped European not UK stock, so you need a plug adaptor. Not impressed.

There is an option under find my phone in settings that you have to enable, have you done that? :)


With regards to battery life, I've seen an article that says the battery can be drained by having tap+send enabled, just a thought for people who's phones aren't lasting long!

Thats a shame, was looking to get one of those. Will just get a charging plate instead.
 
Surly the stand is the best one, NFC enabled, so place it in and it can say turn a full screen clock on, put on bedside table and you have a clock/alarm clock.

Edit, nevermind I see your refering to the Fatboy coming with a European plug and not the Nokia 920.

As I can confirm the 920 comes with a european plug (we had our order this morning).

Well that's my opinion of it, others may have different opinions.

I expected all of the innards to be nicely sewn in place but it seems like a bag stuffed with a plate and a rounded bit of material.

I knew I should have made my own, but I was worried about a DIY version overheating and catching fire.
 
Well this is frustrating. I'm on an orange business contract and phones4u have told me they can upgrade business contracts so i'll have to do it directly through orange.

Orange only offer the black 920 which leaves me with a dilema (black is the last colour i want) :mad:

So, my options are

1) Settle for a black one from orange for the upgrade price of £19.99
2) Pay full wack for a red sim free one from phones4U. (£450 more just for a different colour!)
3) Wait a few months and hope the exlusive deals end

Thoughts? I really want this phone!

well because I found out AFTER wards. But also the p4u guys always said it is unlocked... thats why I bought it and was lucky to get it into the basket on their website. i also placed one on order from cyberport (in yellow) which was due to be in stock today but that got delayed!

sure im on t-mobile and can use it BUT because I travel to the EU and USA, I use a different SIM....

The next thing I'm desperate to get my hands on is the Archos Gamepad for some retro SNES, Megadrive, N64, MAME, PS1 gaming. December the 7th I think. :(

this works on my htc 8x

from memory...


in accounts goto advanced and type in google mail addy and pass

click exchange

set server to : m.google.com

login: full gmail addy

leave all other setting there....



in mail client goto settings and uncheck 'in conversations show replies from all sync folders' (this setting messes it up)


then I went to m.google.com/sync in explorer

log in and select your wp8 device...

I checked 'allow send mail as for this device'

I unchecked 'delete email as trash', this setting broke deleting emails.



sorry above is rough, I am going from memory, but it gave mne perfect gmail sync push email and sending through other accounts (which I do in gmail)
