Guys there seems to be a problem with the Nexus 7, not sure if its to do with 4.2 update or not.
'IF' you leave the machine on and run the battery down, when it reaches 1% it does its auto power down. When you come to connect the power cable, it charges up enough the start the boot sequence, then gets itself in a reboot cycle. Mine did this last night and took me ages to fix it.
To be honest, I was just about to return it to the shop as faulty.
Mine would boot to the screen where you enter your pin code (if you have one that is). When I started to enter the numbers the screen switched to static like on the old CRT TVs when they needed tuning in, before going into the dreaded reboot cycle.
The only way I managed to fix it was to remove the power cable, power off completely, put the cable back in and hope it wouldn't switch itself on again. When it has a good bit of charge, say after an hour, I switched it back on again and this time it worked.
Had me worried for a while. The tablet/android forums are full of people having the same issue, many have been told my google customer services to exchange them as they are faulty
