When I had a problem a few months ago i called there free number on Skype and got through to someone who was able to sort my problem within 10 minutes, maybe try that?

Best of way of levelling now would be to use the exp boost you can get in the market (or GTN) and mix it up between questing, FPs and PVP. Keep grinding one and you'll make your eyes bleed so keeping variety is key. Above level 40 though it does slow down a lot!
based on their costing model and implementation of the things you eed to pay for in this F2P i'd say give it another few weeks and this dead horse will be stinking the gaf up again.
Yet another waste of Star Wars IP, first SWG got raped by SOE/LA and now EA/BW have done another fine job of screwing up what could and should have been a licence to print money. Why can't these companies get it right. I know they have to contedn with Blizzard and WOW, but FFS this is starwars, if they got the gameplay right and actually made something decent they'd have subscribers falling out of the sky.
Its a sad day that EA are going to milk the fans by charging for crap like additional quickbars and hiding your hat....................
Was just on the phone for 1 hour 20 minutes, im not staying on for longer, a thread was made in the last hour on swtor forums saying they were in the queue for 9 hours lol.

I'm not so sure tbh, MMO gaming in particular has hit a plateau and any game released is just going to canabalise other games playerbase.
Big name IP's for some reason don't translate into big sales figure within the MMO space, SWG, TOR, Star Trek online, AoC have all underperformed in initial sales I would say. Hell even GW2 outsold the big IP's in the 1st few weeks. I would go one further and say the fans of those IP's are not big gamers, the mythical huge numbers supposedly lurking in the wings for a 'decent' game just aren't there.
Only the gaming community would complain about a product that is being given to them completely free of charge. Do I agree with a lot the restrictions? No, but when someone gives me 8 seperate star wars class stories to play through and it costs me absolutely nothing then I forgo my right to whine about it.
I agree you cant complain if your getting 1/3 of the game free. I also feel some of the restrictions are stupid.
However my major gripe is the cost of some of the things. The reason I no longer subscribe to this game is because a lot of it doesn't interest me and a lot of it isn't very good (imo). But I would mooch around in PvP at the right price. But at £2.50 approx a week it would be cheaper to subscribe than to pay for just PvP which is a bit odd. If PvP was £3.50 a month i'd happily pay it.
That's the whole point.

I have to disagree with that. AoC sold stonking amounts at launch. It's only the fact the game was broken to death and most of the 'features' were the then Producer's hot air, that stopped it going on to great things. SWG had a very healthy subscription base and was making a nice profit for SoE. If WoW hadn't have been the blip that it is (in a good way, no game will ever ignite non MMO players like it has) then Smedley would have been satisfied with it's performance and wouldn't have butchered it in the vain hope of attracting some of the WoW money.

Disagree. The reason the big IP MMORPGS fail is because the devs think they can push out a crap game, with crap mechanics and due to the IP they will make a killing. What they forget is the reason games like WoW made and continue to make a killingis because despite what all the wow haters might think, it is actually a well polished game.
SWG was released way to early and had massive ammounts of features missing that shoudl have been there from the start. The devs managed to get there slowly and then they comitted harikari and decided to clone wow but without the bells and whistles. Fastforward to SWTOR and EA/BW are guilty of exactly the same thing, they spent over 200 million making this game and simply didn't deliver the goods to the standards that an MMO player expects today.
It isn't about the IP fans not being big gamers, its about the devs thinking gamers are naive and will simply take any old crap they throw at them because 'hey its starwars'. Hopefully this second debacle of such a massive IP will actually teach games studios all around that they can't simply rely on big titles /IP to push games through and they actually have to release something that is up to the job. Sadly SWTOR wasn't and thats why its the fastest move to F2P from subscription that I ever remember seeing in any game APB non withstanding of course.
I disagree, their goal is to bring in more money, unless they change the game radically old subscribers aren't going to come back in any sort of numbers for any length of time and they aren't getting any new ones. If this whole exercise is to get more subscribers they have failed miserably because the fundamental problem, that the game isn't good enough, still exists.
I'm interested to know if you think this will bring in new or old subscribers for any length of time?
So to make the best out of a bad situation they need to make it worth while for people to pay less money for just the aspects of the game they wish to play.

And from memory AoC dissapointed in intial sales, less than half a million in the 1st week. I don't recall the servers being rammed anyway - AoC was the last MMO prior to GW2 that I bought in the 1st month btw

ToR had surprisingly good beta reviews (there was the odd nay sayer but you get that with every MMO), and people enjoyed the hell out of the levelling process/story. But 1.7million initial sales is not very good for a massive IP, possibly the biggest IP in the world at that. Why is that? Becuase the fans are not gamers imo.

Your logic is still flawed, The IP brings in the hardcore fans taht are gamers, then if the game is actually good it brings in the gamers who aren't hardcore IP fans. The fact the game was crap meant they shot themselves twice because they ****ed off the IP fans and then ****ed off the gamers. The huger IP is just the icing that brings in the extra subs from people who aren't massive MMO players but are in love with the IP.
This game failed because it was crap, not because starwars fans aren't gamers. SWG failed because LA put SOE's nuts in a vice and they capitualted to easily. You don't need a massive player base to be successfully, but you do need a decent game. EvE is a good example of this.
A lot of the complaints are to do with the cost of things and how F2P'ers are limited to what is available to them vs a subscriber, therefore, it clearly shows that they want to push you to subscribe.
I have absolutely no idea how you can assume that, however as you didn't answer my question it sort of kills our conversation. So I'll accept we have two different viewpoints on this and move on.
SWG failed because the player base isn't there, the NGE was implemented because sub numbers weren't great and they wanted to appeal to a broader audience.
Star Wars games have always been outsold by other games of the time, quite significantly in some cases. You only have to look at the best selling video game franchises of all time to see just how 'well' Star Wars performs, its even out performed by Harry Potter, and that has never had a decent game in its decade of existence (the 1st star wars title was released 20 years earlier for example).

I did sub but I stopped as I wanted to wait for F2P. LVL 50 enough to finish the story lines? Story is all I care about I am not interested in playing after those.
