I'm just curious really to see what other peoples daily slogs are. How far do you travel? How long does it take you? Method of transport? Do you think it is too long? Would you be prepared to travel further?

Personally I commute from Farnborough to Paddington on the train/tube and it takes me 1.5 hours each way on a good day (which is most days). I do think it is a long time, but I've just got used to it really. I certainly wouldn't travel any further/longer though.

What about you?

13 miles each way in the car. Takes 30 minutes, less if there is no traffic.

i would not want to commute for longer than an hour each way.

4miles roughly, takes anywhere between 10mins (school holidays) and 45mins when all the stupid mothers driving their chelsea tractors decide to block up all of the roads during term time.

45 miles each way :( About an hour during rush hour. Luckily its mainly A1 and M1. last week it took 90mins due to hideous traffic in Leeds. 50mins to travel 3 miles...

7 miles, very rural drive, takes about 25 minutes. Is nice really, don't have to concentrate too much and can chill to some nice music while I drive through some really nice, hilly scenery.

Garden office. (While that sounds rosy and is, I have been abroad for 3 of the last 6 weeks.)

Have drop in office in London for meetings and so on and that is 35 minutes + walk either end.

I wish I had this. So much. Damn office moves :(

12 miles, When the school run ****s aren't out it takes less than 20 mins, double that if there's an accident, and that's on a motorbike, I pity the drivers!

Downstairs, through the hall and lounge into the conservatory.

One of the benefits of working from home :D

13 miles and takes about 35-40 minutes (driving) during term time and 25 minutes during holidays.

The factor that I think is the most important to consider is what time I'm leaving the house and get back (currently 7.45am and 6.15pm). I would consider a further/longer commute so long as the working hours meant the time I had to leave home and get back didn't get any worse.
