How far/long is your commute?

3.2 miles each way. It is cross-town, but seeing as I start at 7am and finish at 3, I never hit what you'd describe as traffic.

Must take about 7 minutes each way.

33 miles on the train in to London. Sure it costs me over £3300 but it generally is a reliable form of transport.

I certainly would not swap it for driving being stuck in traffic for ages.

7 miles, very rural drive, takes about 25 minutes. Is nice really, don't have to concentrate too much and can chill to some nice music while I drive through some really nice, hilly scenery.

Mine is a nice rural drive too. Lots of A and B road blasts. Hardly ever much traffic.

I actually look forward to my drive there and back :)

I walk!

Home to Ferry - 20mins - 1.2m
Ferry to My office - 5mins - It docks just outside my office - 0.5m
My office to Head office - 10mins - 0.49m, I do this walk several times a day most days.

So in total I could be walking 4-5 miles by foot on an average work day, or more if I have to visit another site!

The first month or two were quite harsh as I couldn't walk properly from aching legs  Now I don't know where the 1.2 miles go :D

It used to be less than 15 minutes door to door, which isn;t too shabby for a Zone 1 office. But we've moved buildings and it's about 45 minutes now :(

20min walk to the train-station.
20min train.
20min walk to work.

I could get a lift, but the 1hour20mins a day walking helps with trying to stay trim.

As long as my phone is charged enough to listen to music on the way it's not that bad.

Distance . maybe 4-5miles directly?

5 mins walk -> 12mins tram -> 6mins train -> 2mins walk. With waiting times it's about 35-40mins each way normally. It's nice and easy and I can read a book for most of it.

I used to have a commute which involved two 25min train journeys with a mad dash inbetween which was not nice

Currently work from home 4 days a week, and 1 day in the office. Office is a good 2 hour drive there and same back. In Jan I'm in the office 2 days a week.

Milton Keynes to Slough.

About an hour on the train and a short walk (if all goes well). I wouldn't mind so much but I rarely get a seat on the way back, so end up sitting on the floor or squashed into a shelf. Oh, there's the expense - about £250 a month :/ As for the time, I quite enjoy having a few hours each day that are all mine and watch movies/tv shows, read books/comics and play 3DS :)

You could bike that in about 20 minutes!
