If you have the Location set to ON, does the 920 record the GPS location in the EXIF data?

I can't find any setting to turn if off like you do on most phones. :/

I'd hate all the photos of my shiny things I'm posting of the interwebs to have a great big gps trail back to my house!

What other tablet could support a WP any better than one you can manage all your content movies, picture, music than one you can actually plug to your phone? I sat and converted and transferred a season of South Park without having to go near the PC.
I owned a Nexus7 before the Surface and theirs no direct way you could interact with the Phone unless I sent and received files via Skydrive.
But I don't care about managing my phone with my tablet! My phone is my phone, my tablet is my tablet, I'm happy to have them as two completely independent devices. I don't see why there is a need for one to interact with the other.

Settings> swipe to applications> photos + camera> uncheck include location info in pictures I take.

It would have asked you this the first time you open the camera too.

Ah, thanks, I couldn't for the life of me find it.

Who's using the Bing lock screen auto photo thingy, seems to change everyother day, it's bloody great. :)

You really cant see ANY benefit with Mobiles being the number one photo source now and for videos why it would be a good thing to connect its to a tablet?

Settings > Lock Screen > Background = Bing

It just auto changes the picture everyother day, they pick some pretty good photos.
They used to change every other day for me at the beginning but for the last week or so I've been waking up to a new picture every morning

I think you're right, I think yesterday was some horses in the snow. Guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Either way, what a bloody great feature.

Speaking of lock screen, Paper Shuffle lets you pick photos from your own albums to randomly generate wallpapers. Pretty neat.
Also keep en eye open for Locksider for similar features. It should be on the marketplace any day now.

You're out of luck I'm afraid, they're supposedly working on an update.

WhatsApp promises to be 6 times faster on Windows Phone 8

While WhatsApp may be available for anyone trying to avoid text messaging fees on Windows Phone 7 it seems like its release on Windows Phone 8 might be a way off. This week one eager WhatsApp user contacted the app's support team and was told that it was not known when it would become available. However he was informed that it would be six times faster than the current version of the app for Windows Phone and will come with new emoticons.

On the battery charge issue, even though discharging/charging completely a couple of times is not meant to matter on the 920 battery type a no. of people seem to think it has helped.

Whether that's a psychological thing, or it helps the OS calibrate things better I have no idea

Can anyone comment on the claim that a factory reset helped with battery life, and if that was for branded or unlocked phones or both?

Cheers
