24 is really good, watched up to season 4 (i think) when the muslim terrorists come in? I found it getting quite stale but maybe because i watched 1-4 consecutively. Will go back to it eventually after i am finished with part 1 of breaking bad season 5 which is just excellent.
There's no point in watching Season 1 if you're impatient - all the drama is in the final few episodes.
Season 3 is where it gets awesome though. 4, 5, and 6 are also great.
You should consider the age of this show when forming an opinion!

24 is awesome. Best bit of the entire show is when ex President Logan is in a limo in a tunnel and Jack is in a bulletproof suit with a black mask. Think it's season S7/8.

I agree with this. Season two was my favourite. After that it all becomes very formulaic and the scenarios and situations that he gets himself into are ridiculous. For me, the best scene was the one where he had a cry in his van: it showed his human side for once.
Watched the first 4 episodes in one sitting and enjoyed it.
I was a bit annoyed at all the "coincidences" they keep chucking in though. The parents and the kidnappers crossing each others path every 2 minutes and the dumb decisions no one would make, all in all really enjoying it. The Missus is enjoying it more than me and wanted to keep watching

Awesome show and shame there is no more.
It was already strung out a couple of seasons too far, I'm glad they didn't spoil it by going further!
Seemed a bit unrealistic, for 8 episodes they didn't show him asleep

Jack Bauer once fell asleep, then 9/11 happened.
just got the seasons box set from my brother this weekend watched season 1 ages ago and after two episodes of season 2 we turned off... might give it a try again since dexter is nearly over for us (watching season 5 atm.)
I agree, as if it were a movie, there would be no adverts, and thus no excuse not to have a twenty four hour movie in true real time.An 18 hour movie would stretch even the most dedicated fans!
First season was amazing, something really different and fun to watch.
Second season I think I got all the way through but got annoyed at it (one of the spoilers above summed it up nicely).
Started season three and just thought it was getting out of hand. Pretty sure there weren't enough terrorist plots to keep the thing believable that the USA was actually under threat...
Would watch again though because it was impossible to take seriously after a while
