AMD Catalyst 12.11 Official BETA 11 Plus CAP2 12.11

Everything maxed.

Motion blur off

FOV 70

Cards 1.13v 1050/1550 max temp I've seem 76C
fans at 55% until 80C then set to 75% (never gone to 75% yet):D

I take it these temps are good?

Create a user.cfg file (save as all files) and place it in the main bf3 folder

Paste this info into it.

RenderDevice.TripleBufferingEnable 0
RenderDevice.ForceRenderAheadLimit 1
Gametime.MaxvariableFPS 58
Render.DeviceVSyncEnable 1
WorldRender.MotionBlurEnable 0
Render.PerfOverlayVisible 1

This will display a performance graph in the bottom corner of bf3. You should have two pretty much constant straight lines if your performance is good.

I get them @ 1440p with a single 7970. Full ultra with AA@x2 and Motion Blur Off.

Try my settings above and report back plox.

Try this (you really won't notice any difference apart from increased frames!):

2xMSAA
SBAO (I found HBAO kills everything for no benefit)
Motion Blur off
Vsync off (unless you're on 60hz, in which case use a frame limiter)

Your cards have a low stock voltage, I'm stock at 1.175v 1010/1375.

 You sure that's your stock voltage? My stock voltage is 1.031 and I Overclocked 1100/1500 @1.131v

Hope it works, I never really got on with HBAO & direct vsync in BF3. If you have enough grunt left over try the above with 4xmsaa too.

Yep, tbh I've had 6 7970's this year, every one of them has had a stock voltage of 1.175v

Powercolour ref 7970 - Sold for GTX670
MSI 7970 Lightning - Died
MSI 7970 OC - DSR'd
MSI 7970 Lightning - RMA replacement, sold
MSI 7970 OC - in use
MSI 7970 OC - in use

That crazy and has made me happy at 1.131v lol

Thats not even the full story, besides those 6 I've had 2 x 6950's, a 670 and a 460 this year too :o

Not a clue what the lower stock voltage means or implies, had 1340mhz out of one of the lightnings, never really clocked any of the others.

What exactly does the Hardware Polling Period do? Is it just how often the monitor stats refresh?

Just going to see if I can find a solution to this stutter in FC3 with CF 7970's.

Ahh in that case I'll change it to every 5-8 seconds, I only really need to keep an eye on temps.

Time to dig out radeon pro as well me thinks.

How do you check or change this Hardware Polling Period? Will give this a try amongst other things. Bf3 with a couple of 7970's in Eyefinity runs like a steaming pile for me.

Hit settings in Aferburner, under the monitoring tab.

Its either unfortunate or Ubisoft have intentionally blocked it, but it doesn't appear you can modify settings with radeonpro for FC3, it just acts as if you've exited the game when you try launch.

Edit: Profile I forced stopped it from working, no joy yet though. This game is quite simply ****** for multi cards :(

It's currently set at a 1000 as default. I'll just go up in increments of a 1000 at a time and rinse and repeat unless someone can recommend a good setting they've found.
