The wife snagged me (for Christmas) a 32GB for £179 from CPW which was delivered the day they went out of stock!

Today I bought the last 32GB in stock at Argos for my sons Christmas present for £199 (effectively £189 as I got a £10 voucher back)

That's Christmas sorted

Bought the wife an iPad mini btw.

The 32gb can be had on an auction site today for £189.99 with p+p. And its from a big seller that was previously mentioned at launch as they were selling them early.

Blimey, so after my nightmare with a defective 16GB release day model (and months taken to get a refund), I thought I'd take the plunge and get a 32gb 3G one.

Arrived last week, and lasted a good four days before screen lift occurred, plus the bloody thing now refuses to turn on. I obviously didn't learn my lesson last time - this time for definite I have.

Hopefully won't have to wait months for a refund this time.

Does anyone know why the nexus 7 build of chrome doesn't have the nice touch interface of the nexus 4 build? I pretty much prefer every aspect of the nexus 4 version so not having it on my nexus 7 makes me sad.

Screen lift seems to be easy to self repair, if it won't turn on though you are pretty much out of options

Otterbox have a defender case coming for the Nexus 7, likely double it's weight but having seen them they tend to be bomb proof!

The tablet version of Chrome is pretty much like the desktop version right?

Its a lab option to turn on isnt it? :confused:

Yep, which is why it doesn't work that well on tablet imo, as it was never designed for a touch interface.

Bought one last night for the missus- £189 and it came with a free case. hhuk it.

cpw for £179 - Then the case I bought from egay for £8..... It's better than the Asus official one since it has the sleep function built in.
