Yeah you are right I think, Carl was in Boulder yesterday before we met up and he found a few guns as well. Might be worth a trip up tonight if we are all playing. Not going on my own lol
 
i'm stuck in there!

Went down their yesterday, 4 of us and two got killed by a cheater. I ran into a building and logged out crying as I had a M4, 2 clips, red dot scope, armour, etc
 
Clearview / Fire Station in Small Ville / Boulder and Campus / Mountain Crest are Hack/Cheater hot spots.

I think this will become less of a problem once the game goes onto steam and they update the cheat/hack engine

Yes and No

If you have gear on your character and it dies, you loose everything your carrying at that time.

However you also have your global inventory which you can store items in for all your characters. The stuff in your global never gets removed unless you put it on a character and it dies.

So in laymans terms..

You have character A running about the map with a full back pack, you head back to a safe zone and logout. You then drag food and weapons to your global inventory and they are stored forever. You then log back into a server with a half full back pack but get killed. Everything in your backpack you loose but you still have the items you transferred in your global inventory :)

You then create a new character called B, drag stuff from your global inventory to his back pack and off you go again but obviously, if he dies you loose everything in your back pack again.

As above.. you have some options though.. usually if you are killed by a player they will loot anything decent you have, although some snipers/bandits/hackers dont seem to bother sometimes, in which case a friend can pick it up, or you may have another character in the area who can pick it up.

I have died stupidly to zombies before and ran back there with another toon and been able to recover all my stuff.. a bit of luck needed with that though so dont count on it.
 
What's with all the 626 bashing today ;)

I remember I still owe witcher a death, might collect on that debt tonight.

For the record, I only ever lost Hydb's stuff up a cliff once, although I seem to find every spot on the map which will arbritrarily (sp?) kill you.

hehe just messing with you bro :D That kill was an accident :( haha

Yeah you do seem to find those spots, like the one that chucked us all up in the air lol. I seemed to have landed on my head on the way down on that one and died :(

Overcrowded servers are killing me, literally. Lost 3 chars in half an hour.
First was obviously a hacker as was glitching up and down a wall when I came round the corner and he turned and insta-killed me.

The second I spawned in an open field carrying nothing, right beside I guy with a flashlight who promptly beats me to death, then apologises.

Third was dandering around campos and 2 guys start chasing and shooting me. I ran off yet they knew exactly where I'd went. Killed again. Only thing good that was lost was body armour I just found. And of course my trusty hammer.

Getting fed up!

Group up with us, go to JamesM's Just-survive website in his sig and get the mumble details. Then just join the server m8, you can get added to the clan if you use mumble with us.
 
You could still meet up, also you can still use mumble so you can hear us then you could type in clan-chat in-game. But as I said join just so you can hear us talking to you. It was how I started until I got a headset.

Ok cool. Trawled through the last 10 pages or so and either it's not there or I'm blind. Where's the site/mumble I need to sign up to?
