Steam Christmas Sale 2012

Being the same price isn't an issue at all, as that has been the case for years.
Take Metro 2033, that must have been the same price at least a dozen times over the years in sales.

It's people expecting too much and getting disappointed, what we can be happy for is that GMG etc are bringing up some very good deals themselves, so as the consumer we have a lot of avenues.

There's a few titles I'm waiting on to drop to 75% like Riddick, as that was 75% off previously in a sale, Singularity etc.

Don't think it's down to the publisher mate, EA have always been against it yet have pretty much since day one offered many of their titles at 75%+ discounts on Steam, although looking at CoD you may be right. Still, all the games so far were cheaper at thanksgiving, if you think thanksgiving should be a more important sale than X-Mas than fair play to you mate. :D

I'm pretty sure Serious Sam devs were not happy about Steam discounting their game a while ago, so it's pretty clear that at least to some extent Valve has a free hand once they've obtained a supply of keys.

Obviously, bigger publishers can probably wrestle a bit more and impose price brackets on Steam should they wish. It's one thing they are opposed to it and another thing that they can shift loads of units, be it at a lower price point ;)

:o....Oops.....I just noticed that I already own all the DLC for this game... ....:o

Saved yourself some money.

Btw, got a few of them games you recommended in my thread. Still got Bioshock and Singularity to check out. So, thanks for recommendations, good shout.

Got the F.E.A.R collection. Just about finished the trilogy.
Also got the THX bundle. Will probably only play 7 of the games, as I am not into strategy games or Saints Row. Stiil a bargain for the games I will play.

Saved yourself some money..
That the problem,i don't want to save my money..
I enjoy spending it on buying stuff out the steam sale.

But am having lots of trouble finding anything worthwhile buying that I don't already own..:(

I only bought these so far

Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package
Deep Ocean DLC for Anno 2070
The Landwehr Canal Pack DLC for Sniper Elite V2

Think I have voted in all of the community votes so far (not that there has been much good in there). Should have my badge soon :D

I already have my badge - it does nothing.

So, the three titles you can vote on at the moment are all for games that have already been in the daily deals... for the same level of discount. What the hell, Valve?

Lol me too, so far I have spent most of my budget on GamersGate, on DLC and a game for Origin

Of course it doesn't do anything :p

You can't have the full badge already, have there been 15 votes already? Am I right in thinking they are on 12 hour or so cycles? The votes in the summer were more frequent.

Couple of questions is there a way round it and is uplay as bad as it first appears really hoping this is a one off gllitch.
