Eurgh I hate some of googles decisions with Jellybean!

I've had to hack my folders to allow apps to install to the sd card as the morons have removed the ability to install to sd in order to homogenize user storage.

Adz, you want to try the Perseus kernel, I get higher scores than you with it.

1.8 CPU, GPU @ 800 (although still get higher than yours at 533 stock clock).

Not that I have noticed, still get 2 full days with moderate use, but then I haven't done any extensive testing mate.
 
I was waiting for the HTC Butterfly but it's not coming out over here now. By complete chance I happened on a demo S3 and Note 2 side by side whilst Xmas shopping with the wife in Tescos. Really like the look and feel of it. Ordered tonight :D

Coming from a Desire HD so I'm expecting great things

I just did the same upgrade and the difference is immense!, It's rather weird how after only a few days I thought my Desire HD feels tiny in comparison and really heavy! but it must be because the weight of the Note II is distributed over a wider area.

I honestly couldn't go back to a smaller screen as they just feel too tiny!
 
I am blown away by this phone, I just sold my iphone 5 64gb on ebay, covered the cost of my note 2 sim free, i just love the screen on this phone. It's miles better than the S3 screen it just looks so much more natural colour wise IMO.
 
Been using this phone for a week now coming from a Galaxy SII. The size has not put me off one bit (bought this blind, didn't try it at a shop first lol)! Battery life seems fantastic too, can push almost 3 days on a charge turning off Wifi/data at night. Screen is brill, and playing GTA Vice City with a USB OTG cable and my PS3 controller is awesome! And for those interested I'm using the Tech21 Impact Snap with Cover as a case. Doesn't add to much bulk and the flip cover is nice :D

All I need to decide on is whether to bother rooting the thing and upgrading it to 4.1.2. Is it worth doing or should I just wait for the official release?
 
How comfortably is this fitting in jean pockets (no skinny jeans here, so that's not a problem)? Are most using front pockets, back pockets or shirt pockets?

I'm torn between this and waiting for the S4... sensible me says wait for the S4, but part of me is drawn to this purely mental device.

I only wear skinny jeans and it fits in the regular pockets just fine. I'd put it in the back pocket except I'd definitely forget and end up sitting on it! :D
 
i decided to get this. i have it set up with a wireless keyboard and mouse.
really great device!

The only thing i dont like is the homescreen doesnt rotate when in landscape.
