Hmm, I'm not so sure on that. I think it makes the material look cheap?
PS. Where is a vid to Cav headbutting on the track?
should look good with a clear coat on top!

Hmm it'll be quite dull I think. Not like steel or Ti where you can polish it.
Also unless it's a really high quality frame you'll see the welds which will be pretty ugly.
Are you sure you want to do this?![]()
Oh no, just had a look on google. Seems like it can be done, and also look pretty good!
I had an off last night, pulling out of a side road. Can't say for sure exactly what happened but the back wheel went out from underneath me as I applied full power while still turning and I went straight down. Couldn't see any ice, it wasn't particularly damp and the drain cover wasn't where it happened. I think it might have been a pedal strike but it normally just chips the ground rather than make the whole bike slide from underneath me.
Sore wrist today so I drove in, which took frickin 2 hours instead of 40 minutes. Not my week
It's also hard to get your feet out of toeclips when you're lying on your side about to get run over.
So take it easy folks, because it's slippery out there.
I'm still waiting for my first off. With the back roads the way they are at the moment, it won't take long.
Glad it wasn't that bad. A guy at work here broke collarbone with a simple off on ice![]()

I have just been to pick my bike up from the LBS. My back wheel was out of true; probably from climbing that hill last week. I'm guessing having all my weight on the back wheel and grinding up the steep bits took its toll.
Apparently the nipples are a bit corroded too from all the water/salt. New wheels time when it picks up weather wise so I'm not too fussed.
Which shop do you use? I took my old MTB to Whittles on the Atherleigh road a while back, but they've gone out of business. There's one opposite Tesco, which I know of. Walt swears by Geoff Smith's in Bolton, but apparently he's always busy in there, and will hardly give you the time of day unless you've already spent a fortune in there.
Get yourself a spoke key. There are lots of online guides and it's really simple to tweak a wheel![]()
anyone had their alu frame dipped/stripped/polished/lacquered by professionals? any ideas on the cost or who would actually do this in london?

Was going for a segment sprinting up a hill and noticed some strange ghost shifting when I slowed at the topbroken chain while sprinting for it could have been rather painful!
Shimano 105 chain, only about 2 months old too.
Anyone ever had something like this happen before?
