What about running the Windows browser version via WINE?

I could do that i suppose, its not really a big issue though as i upload each file after every ride.
I think if i left it a while and wanted to do batch uploads then i would want some way of using the garmin plugin (i have a windows partition on my laptop which i can use for that if i need to though - but it's a lot of hassle to restart, boot windows, upload files, restart again)

There are potentially a couple of causes IMHO, but let's eliminate the easy one first. I'd say that, generally, modern bib shorts are good and the pads are usually pretty good, so I'd be surprised if it's compressing to such an extent it fails to offer any comfort.

Try some chamois cream first, there are lots of brands, but the one I use is called 'Chamois Buttr'.

If that doesn't improve, then perhaps get a better pair of shorts. Giordiana are very good - they make my Club kit - excellent pads. Not too expensive either.

I can't help feeling the issue lays elsewhere though - bike fit or saddle choice perhaps, but let us know how you get on.

Got my Assos bibs yesterday so gave them a whirl this morning, a definate improvement over the Endura ones.

Going to give my saddle a slight tweak as I feel I sit on the nose a bit too much, my frame is a touch too large which won't help, but it was second hand (small market here).... will justify an upgrade to a new bike in future. XL compact frame, I think a standard 58 will be perfect, but will get measured up at the LBS.

Managed to get the first half of the Tour Down Under on the live text update while I was at work (two monitors). Then the power went out due to a massive storm.

Left work early and caught the last 5km at home on TV, surprised my satellite worked! Not a bad result, see how my fantasy team stacks up soon!

Edit: Fantasy team didn't go so well, mainly due to not picking the winner of todays stage which would have got me 50 points alone!

The winner of the first stage always gets a load of points because he is now leader in all classifications.
I didnt pick him either :( but still got some decent points from picking 2nd and 3rd.

Back in 1st place on the base miles challenge. Come on slackers... ;)

I'd have an extra 150 miles on my total if I didn't have a work trip abroad earlier this month.
I travel overseas a lot, so I'm never going to be really competitive at this :(

Same, I'm away with work last week, this week and next week. I do take my bike away with me usually but the roads down here are pretty treacherous so it wasn't worth the effort this time.

I'm Manchester based after that for a few months so hopefully I can pick up the pace again. :)

There's an endomondo challenge? I don't know why I didn't notice that. Which one is it? I only found the OcUK 2013 one.

Edit: My Strava base miles and the Endomondo 2013 miles are showing different totals. 455 for Strava and 487 for Endomondo. I dunno what all that's about. I log them both straight from my garmin...

Endomondo has gone crappy compared to a few months back, I guess its been bought out by a larger company.

A lot of features, average speed over all rides etc you have to buy the premium version for.

There's more to it than just picking the fastest guy.

I had Demare and Renshaw in my team, who were 2nd and 3rd. When you add the cost of those 2 riders together, it comes to roughly the same cost as greipel alone but their combined scores were much more than greipel scored.

Greipel scored the most points, but was well down the table (around 14th) on points scored to cost ratio. (Table was topped by Jordan Kerby of the university of South Australia team)

Here are all of the OcUK cycling challenges for 2013;

OCUK Cyclists - Most miles - 2013
OCUK Cyclists - Fastest 10miles - 2013
OCUK Cyclists - Fastest 20miles - 2013
OCUK Cyclists - Fastest 50miles - 2013

I've not been cycling much at all lately, I can't cope with the cold. I'm having laser surgery on my eyes on Saturday, so I won't be cycling for at least a week. I will have to make up for lost time in the spring.

You can feel the weight though; nearly a kilo each. You make progress but it's never going to be defined as quick.

On Saturday I went out for a few hours and I don't think that I made it over 25kph.
Granted, they're heavy. They're also numb and hugely resistive. They're still better than having to abandon cycling entirely, as far as I'm concerned. Besides, once you get them them rolling they're not too bad. Anyway, look at the plus side; cycling with them fitted is bound to be good for building up your thighs, given how difficult they are to get up to speed. Going back to normal tyres after a week or so with them will feel like you're floating in comparison ;)

Joined up! Need to get my rides uploaded to Endomondo now.

I'm getting excited for this year of cycling. Can't wait for some lovely summer weather to get out in the Peak District. It is a gorgeous place when it is sunny. however, by wishing for this I feel than I'm setting myself up for a massive disappointment.

lol ;)

Well I did 3k last year, but I only properly started cycling to work towards the last third of the year. And I was very much a fair weather rider, any hint of rain and I'd come in with my Dad (in a car).
Now I'll cycle in anything, partly as I've spent quite a bit on proper clothing, and another bike! So now I have a dedicated commuter/winter bike ;)

6k is my target for this year, which I think is very respectable considering I'm out a lot.

That's definitely a good target. I'm aiming for 8k but it'll be a stretch if I make it.

Fixed it now. I had a duplicate entry for a long ride and was missing a short one.
