*** Nexus 10 Tablet ***

Had to give up on the idea of a Nexus 10. Instead I upgraded my PC and got a Nexus 7 coming tomorrow. The stock situation on the 10 is a joke to be honest.

Well after not rooting or fiddling with my nexus 10 at all it just decided last night to get stuck in a boot loop. It powers on, gets to the desktop and immediately powers off. Then starts again all by itself. Any ideas? With all the problems this thing has in tempted to get my money back. Shoddy

Do a Hard Reset and it should go back to normal

I've always held my tablets, or just rested it on my knees/stomach.

I never used a tablet on a desk even when I had a foldable case on my TF101.

Many thanks, okay I lost my data but I'm back online, any links to common causes of that. Should anyone fall foul of this please see the following

Google Nexus 10 Factory Reset (Recovery Mode) Instructions

If your tablet is on, power it off.
Press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Power until the device powers on. You should see an image of an Android lying on its back.
Press Volume Down twice, until the screen says "Recovery mode."
Press Power to restart into "Recovery mode." You should see an image of an Android with a Red triangle after a few minutes.
While holding down Power, tap Volume Up
Use the volume keys to scroll to "wipe data/factory reset" and press Power to select it
Scroll down to "Yes - erase all user data" and press Power to select it

What roms and kernels are you guys using? I'm using the stock rom and ktmanta kernel at the mo (pegasusq, noop) and the battery life's better for it. I've been using paranoid until this morning but was finding it a little buggy with the navbar clock often vanishing and the odd reboot which never seems to happen on stock.

I am using Franco's Kernel, happy with it in terms of battery life and stability.

There's a fee rumours doing the rounds that the n10 is being replaced by an identical tablet with the new exynos quad processor, a quick Google or look at android central should show up the stories.

Considering I got my n10 just over 2 weeks ago I won't brr too happy if there's a processor refresh so soon, what're peoples thoughts?

They won't change the internals and I wouldn't expect to see a new tablet before Google I/O 2013 in May. We'll probably see a new table(s) at that.

Gizmodo have picked up on the rumour too:

http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2013/01/samsung-preparing-quad-core-nexus-10-upgrade/

I'm torn, there's one side of me that thinks they wouldn't have the cheek to do it, the other side says they've not sold that many N10's so there wouldn't be much backlash and wouldn't put it past Google and Samsung to do it.

I'm just outside the 2 week return period and would definitely try and return it if this could be confirmed in some way, if only because the resale value of the dual core units will plummet, not to mention potential official and community support abandonment.
