In the same boat as you Brightside.

How do folk make money on the game? Is there a lot of time involved? Bit of a silly question, guess it depends on how much gold you want to make :P

its a lot harder to make money selling things on AH now tbh, unless its a BiS (best in slot) item, usually an awesome stat unique or rare. these are pretty much what everone wants now, but they are listed at ridiculous prices that probably 90% (random number i plucked out of thin air) of players will never achieve and so will most likely quit first.

myself, well i get by selling the odd unique for a million here and there, but my upgrades are 20mil+ per slot, something that tbh, i cba to grind out.

Any demon hunter experts out there? I currently use the bola volatile explosives rune but i can see most prefer the hungering arrow and bone spray rune? For crowd control against trash i seem to prefer bola because of the aoe.

Question is does hungering do the same with the bone spray aoe?

I thought the devouring arrow rune (whichever it was that gave +100% damage per penetration) was number crunched as the favourite?

People avoid bola shot because of its delay and I know someone who does stick with the bone spray rune though its reliance on crit to do AoE makes it a pretty weak choice. Imo neither do the job anywhere near as effectively as Multishot w/ Fire At Will or Ball Lightning or Chakrams when you're dealing with multiple targets.

I was messing around trying to use caltrops with the 'Bait' rune and sentry. Multishot was hilarious when paired with the crippling passive since you could instantly stop an entire mob once every 7 seconds with Multishot.

Thanks for that going to try it out, sounds intresting.

What crippling passive - do mean cattrap with Torturous ground and also 7 sec cool down?

Going to have to try it myself and see, Cant wait to get home now.

I haven't played my DH since they nerfed Nether Tentacles lol (That actually made me quit the game since I got tired of barb being brick wall and leveled a DH to actually see past A2 Inferno...only for them to nerf DH shortly after I was 60)

Since came back however......... :D

Might give it a shot sometime for the luls

Pretty much done with selling my gear. Totals I got (after deductions from Blizzard) for anyone who is interested:

£81.25 + €68.80

Sold my gold on the UK RMAH as it's a better rate than the Euro one. Sold all of my items on the Euro RMAH though.

Never say never, just won't come back till some new content is out I reckon, or some major changes that make the game worth playing again.

Gear value in this game is pretty ephemeral in my opinion, so I'd rather sell my gear whilst it has some value than hold onto it and find it's worth a lot less when I come back :)

I came back last time with only 500K to my name so it's possible to earn some cash. I left myself with 10M so it should be enough to get me started at least if I decide to play again.

Got killed just because of a stupid bug on hardcore. How to contact blizzard and ask them to fix it and revive my man please ta?

That's part of the risk of playing hardcore - bugs, lag, disconnections, etc. Internet lag is the big reason I haven't played hardcore yet. 1Mbps line shared between 4 people doesn't really do much good for my ping in D3. I'm going to wait until I'm on fibre or something.

They won't revive you.
