BMW F10 530d M-Sport: On-going Review!!

OK did a longer run today and here are my more objective thoughts on my new tyres.

1: Road Noise

They are noisier than the previous tyres, but they seem to have settled a little this afternoon, though this could be a placebo effect. They do notice road surface changes more than the previous tyres that much is obvious but the road noise is something ill get used to. Noisier yes but not something I shall worry about.

2: Ride Comfort

Better than the run flats but not night and day. Things like cats eyes are no longer something you really notice and smaller bumps are better, but far from perfect. I still need to check my pressures as I feel they are a little high.

3: Grip and Feel

Yup, better but still need to settle for a couple more hundred miles. Steering feel is better and grip seems good in the wet and much more confidence inspiring, though my last tyres were slicks.

Jury still out on if they warrant the move, will keep posted.

Sooo many toys!

Looks like they start from a shade under 50k, but that one has a serious amount of boxes ticked, and it's even close enough for Fox to play personal shopper... :D

*whistles innocently*

Housey - thanks for the tyre info, think I'll stick to the Bridgestone run flats as there doesn't seem to be much difference.

Kingy - I wouldn't say it had a serious amount of options ticked. Does it even have Nav?

I would!? What would you call a serious list of options, its difficult to see a single desireable option missing from that car. It even has HUD, Adaptive Drive, LED headlights (This isn't just the DRL's, these are actual LED headlights IIRC) Comfort Access and a Sunroof? They've even specified Ceramic Finish for Controls! Nobody normally does that.

Why wouldn't it have Nav - its standard fit on the Grand Coupe.

This. If you hover over the optional equipment meter it lists all the kit, and it stands out as one of if not the best specced cars on AUC... :)

Purely for the forum giggles associated with spending Housey's money, & tweaking Fox's WANT reflex I specced it up as new, and I scored £83,345.

9 months old, 7k on the clock, & £30k off list. Cheers then, clearly cheaper to buy it than not buy it! :D

It's absolutely outstanding and I want it SO much.

Stage 1 complete.

Come on Housey, be a sport & do it for the forum? ;)

If nothing else you'll have a GFV of ~£20k, as the moment it drops anywhere near that you'll have Fox dry humping your leg until you let him buy it... :D

There's a lot to be said for fixed cost motoring... :p

You bought the last car Fox recommended, so you're clearly not above peer pressure... We need a poll! Mods? :D

Shame the interior of the 6 is by all accounts as dire as the F10. It was proper creaky when I took out a convertible last year, although I am positive the coupe would be the better choice. I absolutely hate they way BMW appear to have gone "oh crap, we forgot the screen, let's dump it here" :(
