Life used to be simple; but now I've Scottished myself.

Also, you are now a heroine addict.

Given Edrof's fondness for stories with strong female characters I think he already was. There were all sorts of pointers and we just didn't notice.

One notable benefit is that of following Scottish national sports teams - almost invariably they will promise much more than they deliver. It's character building in the most important of ways - think of the poem If by Rudyard Kipling "If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster, and treat those two impostors just the same...". It's a constant education and encourages you to enjoy the good times but not get too carried away because they are temporary, as are the fallow times. I can only lament that more people don't get to share the full range of emotions that following a team such as the Scottish national teams allows you.

Mother is English, father is Italian and i was adopted with my step fathers Jewish surname.

Could be worse Edrof!

What are you going to do when that quarter of you wants independence from the or three quarters?

Wondered why it took so long until someone brought this up :D

You may now eat everything served in batter and get very upset in Japanese restaurants when served tempura on grounds that they stole it from you and that it's not proper batter.

You may wear your wife/girlfriends clothes and legitimately go shopping for womens clothes to wear.

You may get very aggressive when drunk.

You must choose a football team. And challenge other clans of supporters to fights to the death.

You may now refer to plebs as "Neds".

You should resign all paid work in favour of going on benefits.

Born in England
Parents born in England
All grandparents and two aunts born in Ireland
One of my grandparents claimed a Spanish decent from the armada (half of Ireland claims that though)

And when it comes to sport, is it Rangers or Celtic that I cheer on when one of them slam dunks a goal into the try line to score that last quarter four-point home run?

I spend about 35% of my working time in Glasgow. I now eat tablet, drink Irn Bru and Buckfast, etc etc.

When it came to choosing Celtic vs Rangers, I remained staunchly neutral until a few of my delegates insisted on taking to me to a Celtic game. According to them "I have now made my loyalties clear" to any Rangers supporters on site :p

Commonly used but sadly it's never worked I believe this is due to the nuke seeing the scottish hoards it's approaching and then deciding to **** it as it's not dealing with those mad scottish ********!

The nuke then builds a wall to protect itself. True story lads.

Was just about to ask that before I noticed your comment.

I can't remember how much digging he did to find out the facts. Mum knew her natural mother's name, but she was given up very young, and her natural dad (who wanted to keep her, but couldn't) died while she was still wee.

Tablet is awesome :) Quite easy to make too, just need barrels of sugar! Irn-Bru is easily the tastiest soft drink and bucky is an acquired taste.

Your colleagues are correct, you're now officially a Celtic supporter ;)

They told me I would be stabbed if I went to Ibrox after attending a Celtic game. They didn't make it clear who would be doing the stabbing!
