*** The Official Google Nexus 7 Thread ***

Guys using my voucher from Google I bought Nexus Media Importer. Now can I sign in on my phone which uses a different Google account and download the app then sign out again?

Or is it tied to my account?

What voucher is this... or have I missed something?

I thought they were only offered when the Nexus 7 was first released.
 
Anyone know if the official Asus dock has been in stock and sold out, or if its showing out of stock because its still not here yet?
 
Well after a bit of messing around chatting to a mate on teamspeak it seems my mic on my Bluetooth headset isn't the one capturing my voice. Really frustrated as when the N7 is sitting in its case in cradle mode (Poetic Hardback) the built in mic is blocked and my voice is muffled. Talk about a basic design fault! Not a happy bunny...
 
Hopefully 4.2.2 brings better performance. Frustrating that my app drawer still lags on occasion, and the microstutter is pretty bad when downloading an app. I should probably factory reset my stock 4.2.1 but can't be bothered haha.
 
Don't forget you can kill apps that are still running in the background! I was getting really irritated about the stutter / lag that I was experiencing after a couple of weeks before realising I had a couple of games and loads of apps still open in the background. Exit them properly and you should be fine :)

got mine a few minutes ago after refreshing the 'updates' page... first thing I noticed is it went through an app optimisation period which is new to me. It also seems a little less fluid on the homescreen in my opinion... might just be me though. May try a factory reset at some point out of curiousity.

They've tweaked the shortcuts for wifi etc but they've done it weird where you need to long press to switch rather than long press to get settings like cyanogen... it's just odd. Also looks like we may gain up to 2 hours on the battery life...
 
Just checked mine but it is telling me that I am up to date, with no updates available.

I will try again in the morning.
