Think they've gone up in price recently too, I'm sure the Strive 7 was closer to £1800 a few months back with the same spec, great specs for the price.

I'm out tomorrow, no real idea where yet - I won't be doing my usual trails for a long while yet though, I imagine. Still, looking forward to somehow crashing and breaking a bone or something. :)

Nothing major for me- heading out for first proper outing on new bike, just local to make sure it all works proper and doesn't fall to bits!- New Poc lid on route as well.

Lee Quarry in the morning for me, looking forward to seeing how the DB Air performs and hopefully tweak it to my riding more, already performs better and I've only done XC so far which is only using around 50% travel so far so no more blowing through the travel.

Anyone else got riding plans for the weekend?

I'm not sure what good it'll be at Lee Quarry to be honest, 90% of it is totally smooth there :p Good for tweaking it in for drops and climbing traction I guess :)

I'm hoping to get out on Sunday but my left hand pedal (Vault) seriously needs servicing, the seal popped out ages ago and I can feel the pedal wobble now on each cadence, it's extremely off-putting, the tool to extract the bushing is £15 though, sickening

Plenty of rough stuff up there once your in to Crag Quarry especially, its just a rocky mess. I would have gone Gisburn but Lee Quarry is only 15-20 mins away and its good for sessioning select features.

But yes i plan on using the drop offs and jumps to dial in the high speed compression, the big hill at the beginning i can dial in the low speed, and try and get the rebounds sorted.

On the dials i take it the low speeds being a soft stop, you stop turning as soon as the resistance changes, the high speeds have hard stops or are they the same?

Going to do some low level trails this weekend. Not sure the snow will have cleared for the bigger stuff yet. Got out on the >X< today. First time on a bike in a month. :o

Heading to Golspie Wildcat, then Balblair tomorrow morning.

Golspie for the nice jumps (great for whips) and Balblair for the amazing scenery (and the fantastic riding of course)

It is a very nice bike, but it will take a something very special to stop me going for the Kona Honzo.

Prob going to Cannock, depending if a mate is going tomorrow.

If not possibly, hopston wood, east ridge or long mynd.

Anyone been to any of these?

Need to head to these when I get back up, heard Golspie is pretty good.

Long Mynd isn't bad. Some good descents, but some big climbs too. Minton Batch is an epic descent.

Cannock is my local trail and its great for what's there, but its nothing compared to the likes of Glentress or Llandegla etc.

Quite impressed with Lezyne / upgrade bikes , have a pair of Lezyne lights i got from Merlin for around £80, they're USB charging ones and my son#s managed to loose one of the caps wile they were on charge. Emailed Lezyne direct to see where i can buy replacements and they forwarded it onto Joel @ Upgrade bikes (their uk distributer) who's sending me a replacement for free :)

Oh well, only got 2 rides out of my Loctite'd crank arm before it started coming off again.

I'll need to try and sneak a Deore groupset past my wife on Tuesday next week. :S
