because only ever trying something you've had before it the way to go....
I mean, if you've had cod you'd never want salmon and if you've had beef you'd never want to try horse.......
does that really matter?
Whole grain digests slower so you get a more steady stream of energy which is more usuable by the body rather than white processed cereals which are broken down quite quick and give a big bump in energy which your body might not be able to use as the body can only use a certain amount of glucose at a time.
