I've decided to buy one, can't hold out any longerI'm just wondering can anyone recommend any nice covers/cases for the Nexus 7?
If you want something a lot more sturdy though theres the rather bulky Otterbox Defender case.
Looks interesting... have you (or anyone else!) tried it yet?
Mine has that case, as has every phone I've owned for years. I swear I spend more on phone cases than I do on my PC...
It is very good, though. Integrated screen protector and everything, and I don't mind the extra bulk knowing how well protected it is uin my bag at all times. I trust my 18mo with it and she's yet to destroy it, so it's faring better than my PC too. Now OtterBox cases for laptops and towers. Mmmmmm...![]()
Struck lucky, on the way home from work I pass a small cash exchange type shop, 16gb nexus 7 in the window boxed as new £89. I checked it over for marks and screen lift etc and its perfect, just done a factory reset as it had previous owners bumf on and it turns out its actually a 32gb!
Am a very happy bunneh
I've had a Nexus 7 since launch and barely used it. Tonight I brought it to work, and I notice then when using earphones, the sound is distorted and there is a constant backdrop of crackling/distortion.
A Google brings up plenty of people with the same issue but no fix. Is there one, or is this inherrant to all N7s? Or, am I likely to get anywhere getting a replacement?
Thanks for your insight, the OS seems a lot more powerful than I was thinking. It begs the question of why isn't multi tasking being implemented, shouldn't there be options within Android to set how an app should behave once it has been switched. Maybe Android will have to lead the way with this and implement these options in the OS to make developers realise that it's there for them to use?
Definitely not starting an Apple vs Android debate here as I own an Android phone and an iPad and both of them have their own benefits.
Interesting, let me know what you find!
Anyone suggest the easiest and safest root app/method available? tempted to do it but not wanting to grab a dodgy app!
I also found it annoying that the Android Youtube app doesn't allow background audio, whereas I could do this in iOS quite easily. I found an an app which can do play background youtube audio, even with the screen off. Works well as a basic player., it's called PVStar. Hope it helps.
