You only need the vpn to open origin to trick it in thinking its released.
Once the game is unlocked you don't need the vpn anymore, unless you restart origin.

Ouch Amazon USA have stopped selling the Downloaded Version of Sim City and posted a warning about Server problems on the Product Page.

Ah, thats what has caused me to bugger up then.
I rebooted and it reset it to saying it wasnt unlocked.
this is worse than diablo 3

This is why people shouldn't be stupid enough to defend developers/publishers over the existence of the second hand market. I hope they get taken to courts worldwide who rule that games with this always online/anti-second user bull **** included should be able to be sold on or refunded in the future.

Arknor made an unofficial server on EU east 2 which I've joined and a few others, if you want an invite add me "thezakarum" on origin and ingame.
I'm waiting for after midnight to see if there are any UK servers, I think we should make an official Simcity thread with a private/invite only official OCUK server 16 player region and see how it goes.
How do we organise something like that? maybe get an admin involved?

Why don't they open more servers?
I played on EU East for about 5 hours without any major problems (except getting kicked out once when I was on the OCUK one) even if I got the "disconnected from server" message. Now I can't even get in...
A official thread/list would be nice We would have to make several regions tho.

I'm waiting till tomorrow to play, it arrived today but I can wait.

Yeah I'm just a little worried they won't remember as they aren't normally a cd-key seller. And also after I sent them payment via paypal I asked for confirmation that they had indeed received my money and still had no reply.
